thats what im scheduling now.....it is required for me too.

Psych eval, Nutritionist, Dr recommendation, and Labs......uuuggghhh

My Dr requires it. I had mine done and he found some small ulcers and a hernia. I've been on meds for ulcer and he will take care of the hernia at the time of surgery. I had to have a 2nd one to check the ulsers and now I'm a ok......Surgery date Feb 14th

My doc required it too and I had a large hiatal hernia and he repaired it and I feel SOOOO much better with that repaired.

Thank you for all replies - will be calling my Doc's office on Monday to find out if/when I should do it.

Endoscopys are usually done to determine whether or not you have an ulceration and / or hernia. Also, it may be used to determine the status of an ulcer / hernia if you have been diagnosed with one before.
