    Betrayal is a BITCH

Now you will have to change your name to mumof3boys.... congratulations on your new little one and new life
  2. I tore it up from the floor up 3 weeks after surgery. But it was non carbonated drinks only. And gentle sipping. I did not have carbonation untill 3 months after surgery. And quickly decided the uncomfortable bloating and burping is not for me. I too like the crystal lite and Malibu rum idea

    Is This Possible?

Thank you so much for your responces... and I now feel so much better to know that it can take a couple weeks to feel the fills restriction. I pay 200 dollers for every fill so it could get pricey quick. But I don't have any regrets because I lost 40 pounds without a fill and since I got 4cc in my band I've lost 4 more pounds. I love my band!
  4. I just got my first fill and during my first week I felt no restriction. I was a bit discouraged because I pay out of pocket for my fills and I don't want to break the bank trying achieve my restriction level... anyways I noticed this week I feel more restriction and have been getting stuck on just about anything solid even when well chewed... so my question is... is it possiable for a fill to not take effect right away? I know I should ask my doctors office but they are always busy and I'm a private person by nature so that's why I'm taking advantage of this forum.

    Sleep Study

i have had 2 sleep studies done.... most sleep centers now do the 2 part test one with out c-pap and if you need it one with.....the tech that worked with you the first night is not allowed to tell you if you have sleep apnea or not....but if they are giveing you the second part with the c-pap its because they need to adjust your air flow number....everyone that has sleep apnea has thier own air flow number. they will also work with you as far as what mask suiets you. i would not worry about this interfereing with your surgery because all it says is yes you have sleep apnea and you need the c-pap for a restful sleep. and it shows a co morbity... i had my first sleep study in 2008....then had recontructive sugery to remove my soft palet, and hangy down thingy, tonsiles, and adnoids. sorry i cant spell lol! then stopped useing my c-pap...but in 2010 i nearly choked to death in my sleep so i had to go for a second sleep study and now im back on the c-pap. but with a low air flow number this time. im getting my lap band at the end of april! im excited! good luck with your journey and i hope everything works out great for you!

  7. so ive read many post in this forum and i havent found really any success stories? just alot of complaints about the band... i thought there was a rants and raves forum or lap band complications forum where dissapointing stories could be posted? if there is any lap banders out here that do have a success story i would love to hear about it. im getting banded in april so im looking for positive feed back!
  8. you will have to post on here after your sleep study so we all know how you did!
  9. hello i aswell was allowed a sleep aid..... its really hard to fall asleep in a strange place with all the crap hooked up to you. i have had two sleeps studies done in two diffrent hospitals. mine allowed the sleep aid because they said well they need to do a study and they very well cant do one if your awake i was also allowed to watch television i would check before hand so you can get a better idea of what to expect....good luck!
  10. ok this is the powder room so here i go! when i was younger i always achived orgasim by clitoral stimulation...however about 5 years ago i found my g-spot and wow the feeling is earth shattering! so of course my g-spot had become my new best friend! well the other night i was enjoying a little self love and found a new area right in the front of my vaginal opening.... it took me by suprise because it was now a third way to achive a orgasim. so i did a little digging on the internet and there is a doctor that swears a womens vagina has three ways it can orgasim. but there are also doctors that say this is false....however they are all male doctors. so what i would like to know is have you ladies found new areas in your vagina that make you have the big O or am i just to hopeful lol! psssst im not at all a shy person and if this post has embaressed you in anyway try not to come to the powder room looking for topics that will embaress you......with that being said thanks for reading my post (wink wink)

    6 month waiting period

hello i have this month to finish and then my 6 month wait will be over! trust me i was upest aswell that i had to wait but just like everyone eles said use that time to prepare for the lap band... i really do feel like my 6 months went by fast.... but yeah i was bummed that my insurence made me wait! something i have done to help time go by faster is look at myself in the mirror lol and talk to myself! i have also looked at pictures of myself and its because im saying good bye to the person i had allowed myself to become.... make any sence? oh and support groups have made it go by quickly aswell.... and i like going on you tube to look at the before and after pics. if you feel comfortable enough maybe you can find a lap band buddy thats close to the same stage as you? good luck with your journey!
  12. hello i have type 2 diabetes and i take metformin 3 times a day with each meal and had to change my diet....i did alot of research and was told by many doctors that the bypass is best for the diabetes because you lose the wieght faster.....but if your diabetes is under control then i would chose the lab band because of the long term result. so many bypass people strech thier stomachs out....i chose the lap band because of the long term results....i have gerd, sleep apnea, high blood pressure and type 2 diabetes..... however eather way you are makeing a choice to take care of your self and what why you chose to do that is up to you....im just glad you are takeing those steps to becomeing a healther person! good luck with your journey.....
