Hello, I am 30 years old, 5'2" and 185 lbs. My grandmother, who has recently had the surgery, told me tonight that she is going to pay for my surgery! I am so excited because like you, I have struggled with the old fashioned way. If it were easy, we would have lost this weight by now. However, the few friends and family that I told about this, tell me that I don't need it...but that's typical...it sounds like you and I are both borderline...I say GO FOR IT!
