  1. Check the calories in the hot sauce. You have to watch them. But I don't think hot sauce per say would hurt at all to have some in your broth. Sounds like you are doing well post op. Keep us posted on your progress. p.s. - when you are allowed full liquids, try some chocolate sugar free pudding packs and add 1/2 scoop protein powder in with it. It tastes good and it really gives you a full feeling. Just a good way to get extra protein in. It is sometimes hard to get in enough protein and they say if you don't your hair can fall out and you will feel fatigued. I also sprinkle the protein powder on other foods and salads as well. I still have a protein shake for my breakfast too to get the protein in. Remember eggs, fish, chicken, tuna and fat free or 2 percent cheese are all high in protein.
  2. When I crave chocolate, I get a chocolate sugare free pudding cup and add 1/2 scoop protein powder in it. It tastes good and chocolately!!! The added protein helps give you a good full feeling too till mealtime. I usually have these between meals if needed. Or when I think I will kill someone if I don't get cholcolate. LOL Try it and good luck to you!!! It is especially hard this time of year. Easter with all the commercials on tv about chocolate bunnies and all.
  3. Good point! Made me laugh today! Thanks!!! LOL

Hang in there. Trust everyone on this forum when they tell you it will get easier and you will feel better. I am 3 months out and had the same anxieties as you, and now I can eat pretty much what I want and the difference is - I eat very small quantities and guess what - I am satisfied. The trick is to keep yourself busy busy busy. When you feel like eating - distract yourself or have a liquid drink. It will suffice at the time. Get that protein in as it makes you feel full. And take walks it will clear your mind. Try to find a hobbie if you can. Keep your mind occupied with good things. Time is on your side. It will go quickly believe me. I can't believe it is 3 months for me as it seems like only yesterday I was the one going through " liquid hell". And last but not least, surround yourself with POSITIVE people - it will make you feel so much better! Good luck!

If only I could remember this each and every day!!!! Good luck to you on your journey!
  6. I too was extremely low on Vit. D and B12 defficient. That sure explains the increased pain fatigue and depression I guess. I thought it was my fibromyalgia acting up. I take supplements now and just had blood work drawn yesterday so I hope it has improved. My wt. loss has been very slow this month which is very depressing. I hope you will improve with supplements as well. I know how frustrated you must feel right now not knowing whats up. Good luck to you and take care. Keep us posted.
  7. Congrats on your next step! You will surely enjoy!

I feel exactly the way you do too! I can't seem to get the wt. off fast enough. It gets very discouraging especially when you are trying so hard. But I know in the long run it will eventually come off. But I think you are doing a great job so keep it up and I will too!!!
  9. It must be so nice to be in "onederland". I have a ways to go yet to get there. It can't happen soon enough for me!!! That food on the grill looks so good. What is it?
  10. Sound like you are doing very well!
  11. The first step is the most important step! Congratulations to you!
  12. Congratulations!!!!! I can't wait to get to "onederland as well!" It will take a while yet. This weight just can't come off fast enough for me. I am so anxious!

Yah they say if you throw up you can cause your band to slip so I am so afraid of that since I have also thrown up 3 times now.

JUST WHEN I THOUGHT I HAD NO RESTRICTION AT ALL - EVEN AFTER 2 SMALL FILLS, - BEING ABLE TO EAT WHAT I WANT AND MORE THAN WHAT I SHOULD, BAM - I THROW UP YET AGAIN (3RD TIME IN 3 WKS) WHEN EATING SOMETHING I HAVE EATEN BEFORE WITH NO PROBLEMS. I JUST CAN'T FIGURE THIS BAND OUT. IT SEEMS TO HAVE A MIND OF ITS OWN. NOW I DON'T KNOW WHETHER TO GET MY 3RD SMALL FILL IN 2 WKS. AS PLANNED OR NOT? GRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  16. I had that pain too. It was scarey coz I didn't know if it was heart pain or what? But it was only gas pain. I had it for like 2 wks. Just keep walking. You can take liquid tylenol to ease your pain as well. take care and glad things went well for you. Keep us posted on your progress.
  17. Good luck to you today as you get banded. I will be thinking about you. You will be very glad that you did this for yourself. Keep us posted on your progress. Take care.
  18. You are making a good choice! You will be very happy with the band. It is worth the wait. Good luck to you and keep us posted.
  19. Life can sure be hard sometimes huh? I wish you well and hope things start to get better for you. Take care and keep us posted.
  20. Yes you sure are working hard at this and doing very well! Congratulations to you and keep up the good work!
  21. I bought the rocket blender which is very small and has a small canister along with a larger one. The smaller one is perfect size to blend or chop up your chicken, tuna, or whatever you want. I mix miracle whip fat free, and add celery, onion or even pickle relish to it. Yum. Can eat this on whole wheat crackers. You can also use this small blender to make your protein shakes in. I still have the protein shakes when I feel I have over indulged I make up for it by having a protein shake for breakfast. Plus the added protein is good for you and helps you to feel full. The more protein you have the better. You can even sprinkle it on some of your other foods to get it in your diet. I have sprinkled the powder in sugar free puddings and other foods which you can't even taste it. Good luck!
  22. Yah - that was me too 2 months ago! But I was succesfully banded 1/17 and have lost 40 lbs so far. You will be able to eat solid foods in no time at all - just small portions. Everyone gets nervous and doubts themselves before surgery date trust me! You will do fine. Good luck and keep us posted!
  23. Hmmm - I did all this and it still is not updating. Soooo frustrating! Yah you would think it would update automatically on your signature after you update the wt. on the ticker bar?????
  24. If anyone wants to get rid of any extra large clothes, I would greatly appreciate them. I am only 5 ft. 2 in. though. I was wearing 2x -3x clothes but lost 40 lbs. I gave them to Goodwill. Thank you.
