  1. I think I am going to call my dr tomorrow and see what he wants me to do. I'm not uncomfortable by any means, so I'm thinking it can't be that bad!
  2. Ooh thanks! I'll get some tomorrow!
  3. I was banded on Dec 15th. I was on a clear liquid diet until yesterday. Now I'm on a "modified liquid" diet. I'm including protein shakes, but that's all I've added. I haven't pooped since the day before my surgery. I dont feel like I have to go either. Is this normal?
  4. I was banded on Dec 15th. I had some gas pain on my 2nd day home and for the next few days. The pain meds did help and I also took gas x, which helped a lot. I'm feeling really good now (on day 4). I'm going back to work tomorrow.
  5. I'm 5 days post op too and my steri strips are peeling at the edges and they itch a little. I'm think that's because I'm healing, but it's hard not to scratch them! I was told to tape Saran wrap over my incisions while I shower.
  6. I was banded on the 15th and I was very swollen and gassy yesterday. Today seemed a little better, but I still look pregnant. A friend told me to try ice on my belly to reduce the swelling. I tried that this evening, I don't know if the swelling went down at all, but it did feel better. I also tried the gas x strips and that seemed to help a little with the gas, but there's still a lot trapped in there. Anyways, it's only been 2 days and I'm definately feeling better. Keep your head up, it will get better!
  7. Hello all. I am new to this forum and so glad I found it. I was banded on 12/15 and my belly is so swollen and filled with gas. If anyone has tips on how to reduce the swelling or get rid of the gas, please share them. I'm so excited to have finally had my surgery! My surgeon is Dr. Panemanglore from Ellis Bariatric Center in Schenectady, NY. Thanks!
