Having another great day today... This week starts my working full days.. FINALLY. didn't quite make it last week. Been sipping on vanilla chai protein all a.m. and it's a little after noon and I was hungry so I'm eating my tuna and multigrain crackers. HOLY JEEZ. I'm not restricted really but big bites of tuna are a NO NO:kiss . I took two large/normal bites with a normal size fork (left kiddie spoons at home) and WHAM:faint: ... kind of very uncomfy. so... must stick with little bites. I have got to get myself trained before the 1st restriction, because as you can see from my previous post.. I REALLY don't care for pain. T

Thursday I went to bed (the 1st night I was able to sleep on my side) and I woke up 14 hours later! I needed it. We have been blessed with BEAUTIFUL GORGEOUS weather today. I'm sitting here at my computer, ate my prune yogurt, drinking my coffee, have the patio door open, birds are chirping, my windchimes are chiming, the smell of burning sage is in the air and all is right with the world. I may even be able to talk DH into walking at the zoo today. Nasvhille has a really beautiful zoo and I have a membership. I hope no one has been discouraged by my whiny post, I just wanted to be as honest as factual as possible because I like to know what's up before hand. Now that I'm on the other side of things, I know I've done the right thing and I'm really excited about my future. I have a normal to small sized husband, he married me at almost my top weight, so I'm excited to see where this takes our relationship as we are able to do more outdoor activites together.

Hey Laurend, Well, Yesterday we did it. We went out there and my DH uncovered and bagged/boxed up Peaches. He is resting on the family farm now. Thanks Tracy

thanks, Yesterday was the turning point and though the port site is SORE, I'll be post op 2 weeks tomorrow and I feel great now!

Don't stress over it to much.. to speak with your dr about it. Preventative measures can be taken. If you are allowed on your pre-op, get some pro-biotic active yogurt cultures in your system. I'm guessing at 34 yrs of age never having had one (you lucky thing you) you will not have to deal with it. I think you'll feel better after discussing it with your dr. Since you don't know the starting symptoms... it starts out as a nagging itch that feels REAL good to scratch but doesn't go away. If you catch it in the early stages it's not so bad. I'm reading that not all dr. put you on antibiotics anyway so you'll proabably be fine. T

This particular festival is family oriented and though some festivals are clothing optional.. this one.. thank goddess.. is not. Persons must be clothed at all times.. and trust me on this... We have a Pagan Unity Festival every year at Mongomery Bell State Park here in TEnnessee and we are revving up for that. I'll probably vend some of my tie dye stuff there this year. I"m usually on staff, but stepped down from that this past year, it's amazing how much stuff your weight pulls you out of. I can't wait for next year, I'll be diving head 1st into things that I love but have stayed at home instead. If anyone is interested in possibly attending the pagan unity festival (open to people of faiths and non faiths.. just no most if not all classes are of pagan religious nature) let me know and I'll pm you the web site. I'm not sure we are allowed to post other websites on here or not. It's a pretty cool festival and it starts Thursday and runs through sunday, with classes and rituals and pagan authors. You can camp in a tent or get a cabin, however, I believe the cabins are about sold out. We ususally have anywhere from 2-400 people attend. That's all for now... :girl_hug: Tracy

I LOVE your bad spellers line. Made me laugh and slap my leg! BABY UNTENSILS ARE PERFECT> Went to Target and bought the rainbow color long spoons in a bubble pack.. not only do the colors make me incredibaly happy.. but the portion size of the spoon is perrrrrrect. I also splurged and bought the classic winnie the pooh bowls and plates.

Welcome Jonathan! We were banded on the same day. This thread is FAbulous! We also have a February thread as well as a thread for guys. I haven't had my post op. I go in three weeks post op and I'm nervous about it and hope my DH can go with. Tracy

Sorry about that... When I said 'graphic' I wasn't kidding, however, if it can prevent one other person from getting one... I'm glad. I think part of the problem was being on pain meds so I didn't notice at first.

OH MY GOSH TERRI! I to gargled with Peroxide a couple of time pre surgury! Maybe it was that in combo with the antibiotics that made it so bad. WERID. See.. it's stuff like this why I post things even though I think I shouldn't. We LEARN stuff. THANKS

I took the one pill that is pink that you take by mouth on Tuesday but the symptoms where already there. Trust me I have learned my lesson. If any one prescripbes antibiotics I will tell them I need soemthing to prevent yeast from taking over. thanks Tracy

The antibiotic they gave me to take every 8 hours has absolutely REAKED HAVOC on my body. I don't normally get yeast infections. I'm 37 and have had about 8 in my life and have NEVER had thrush. I SHOULD have known, that if my mouth was overloaded as bad as it was with the thrush that I needed to go ahead and treat my other end for a yeast infection. I'm telling you what, I have NEVER had one EVER that was this bad. I had to leave early from work today and by the time I got home I was boohooing like a big baby. I'm like raw shredded meat down there and am even a little bloody. I took a prescription oral pill for this on Tuesday and it doesn't seem to be helping. My DH, thank god, came home this afternoon (he travels) and got me some maximum strenth itch/burn stuff then went back later after I boo hoo'd and cussed when I had to tinkle, to buy the 3 day treatment stuff. I have been using ice packs on it as well and that seems to help. It seems the worst around my ureathra and clit. It was murder when he was putting on the topical stuff. I'm calling the doc tomorrow, though, I don't think there is anything else we can do since I'm already using the prescrip stuff. I am going to make note of the name of this antibiotic that I was given so I don't ever take it again. Am I the ONLY one this has happened too? I haven't read about anyone else going through this on my feb & march post. For those of you not yet banded... please speak with your doc about the possibility of getting a yeast infection and see if there are any preventative measures you can take or maybe you can at least get some supplies to prepare for the possibility.
