i'm so glad i found this thread. its just so much more comfy being around others like me. ahhhhhh. anywho, my partner is not overweight either. well to her she is but... shes like 5'5, 160, she'd like to lose like 10 or 20, i figured once i get banded and start eating better she'll be able to lose those pounds. shes been an amazing supporter! OMG this week couldn't go by any slower! i have 5 more days of working in this hell hole! i start my new job May 29, and my benefits start that day! i can't miss work for 90 days so i wont be able to start my pre op appts till then, so... now i'm just waiting. the company i'm going to work for i already know the insurace approves the surgery. the surgeon i'm going to says that its the best company to work for with the quickest approvals! woot woot! i just hope and pray that these 3 months fly by!!! i'm so ready to start dropping poundage! i've been overweight since 3rd grade.. so i definately have no idea who i'll be when i'm not overweight. i've been lookin at others and the way they dress saying, i'm gonna dress like that, no like that, etc, my g/f says dress like you. and all i can say is "i dont know what me is if i'm not overweight." it will be soooooooooo nice to not have to shop at Lane (the big girl store). i mean i love lane but goodness $50 for a bra! sheesh! i know i'm rambling. sorry another thing i can't wait for is wearing pretty panties! yessss! lol no more grannie drawers! ok i can't believe i just said that! i'm outtie now that i've just completely embarrassed myself! bye bye

i'm 25 and looking to be banded sometime this year. my job excludes it so i've found a new job that i know covers it i start there on the 29th of this month, insurance starts day 1!!! woo hoo! i cant miss work for 90 days, so i'm lookin to start my appts end of august. i wish i had done this much sooner. but i'm still young so i'm still excited! i've never felt what its like to not be overweight so i'm lookin forward to that for sure!

reading this thread reminds of things that have been said to me. its great to have a place we can go to talk about these things! this thread also reminds me of a movie i watched on monday its called "just friends" its a comedy about a boy that was overweight in high school and his best friend was a girl and he had a crush on her, he told her he liked her in her yearbook and it got into the hands of a jock and he humiliated the chubby guy in front of everyone, long story short he moved away lost all the weight, saw the girl again and she wants him! in my opinion he shoulda said.. um i dont think so.. but of course not! ya'll gotta see it, its actually really funny!

i am an overweight lesbian. and i agree with what some have already said. lesbians tend to not go for looks as a heterosexual would. i have noticed in my lesbian friends that looks do not matter so much as personality. therefore we are much more content and its much easier to find a partner no matter how big or small we are. :target: Lesbians Rule! lol

I just wanted to start a new thread since i am no longer crushed! just got word today and i got the new job! w/ the benefits that start day 1 and that approve lap band with no stipulations!!! i'm on my way to band land! i start May 29th!!!!!!!!!!!

i would disagree there. i think true love does exsist. but most dont get to experience it. i hadnt until my current relationship. and in my 2 previous relationships i knew it wasnt true love and that it ultimately wouldnt last. but with my g/f we share something so great, something i wish everyone could feel. a connection beyond connection, a love so strong that even when we are away from each other we still feel as though we are together, as though we are inside of each other, a love so strong that the minute we are apart we already miss each other, a bond so tight that we always finish each others sentenses or even say something the other was about to say, a connection so deep that honestly sex has nothing to do with. i believe there is such thing as true love. i dont so much think love is an emotion as it is an action word. to love someone truely means you will do anything and everything for that person and with every inch of your body mind and soul you feel deeply for that person. And Monique if you get to read this.. that is what I feel for you. you are my rock, my safe place, my landing pad. Thank you I wish that EVERYONE gets to feel this at some point in their life!

This isn't a rant or a rave...just something i want to get thoughts on... i respect everyones opions here and would love to get some feedback. Lets get deep in thought this morning.... i heard the following in a song and want to see what ya'll think of it.... Update! i had my interview yesterday!!!! OMG! it was tough! the questions they asked were really hard. they wanted detailed instances when i felt this way or that or i did this or that. and of course the minute they ask the question i suddenly find myself back in high school having never worked anywhere and can't remember a stitch of experience i have!!! i met with the HR lady, then watched a DVD about the company, then the HR lady wanted me to speak w/ 2 supervisors from the department! it was a lil over an hour interview all together. i feel pretty good about it. She said they'll be making a descision after they review the candidates and will call either way whether yes or no! probably this week!!! so please please please pray for me! and i'll let ya'll know once i hear from them. i called "bigthunder" (see above posts) and told him how the interview went and he said its a good sign that they had me speak to the supervisors cuz he heard that if they aren't interested in you you dont go any further than the HR lady!

ok so maybe its not that great with food but them margaritas! mm mm good! lol

the bullet is amazing! my aunt had gastric bypass and used it for everything during her mushies stage. i saw her blend baked chicken and veggies numerous times. i bought one a while back and it makes magnificent margaritas! lol but i will be using it much more once i'm banded i'm sure. i recommend it to everyone! i caught mine on sale at walmart for like 30 bucks. its usually much more than that! you've gotta get one... and i recommend the maragrita! hehehe

im in the process of finding a new job. i already know the insurance here doesn't cover the surgery so i've applied at a place i know approves it! i have an interview there next tuesday! as far as a diet.. nope not on one. just kinda watching what i eat. i really think i have sleep apnea. if i can just get the band and lose weight i'm hoping it will all be corrected in time
