Sex After Lap-Band Surgery
If it feels good ...do it. If it hurts you may need to get creative to help hubby out until you are back in full form.

Smoking And Lapband?
Yes many drs won't do elective surgery on a smoker. Check what your dr's policy is.

Just Curious..
there is no magical cure... The band will only do 70% of the work. You must do the rest. How many calories are you eating? It would be impossible not to lose if you are burning more calories than you are taking in. Are you tracking your calories and food intake? You might be surprised how many calories you are able to consume until you get to the green zone. Best of luck

Two Questions
I don't focus on anything but 1000 calories every day which includes for each meal 3-4 oz of protein, 1/2 c veggies and 1/4 c startch and a snack of fruit.

Vomiting????
According to my Dr he wants to do an unfill.... I had my first virus last week... I only vomited once and then took it easy the whole week on soft fods so I think I was ok.... but just be mindful of it.

Learning To Chew
If you dont have one at home...Rent or borrow one and watch a toddler eat.... Thats about the same sized bites you should be taking. My 16 mth old granddaughter and I eat about the same bites... which makes sense since we have the same sized stomach.

5 Weeks
My first fill was also 3cc in the same sized band. I didnthave pain tho... have you discussed this with the dr?

When And How Do You Take Your Vitamins?
I take my gummy multi in the morning... they basically dissolve so my tight morning band tolerates it. I take my biotin in the evening.
-
Wt??
I picked the band because I liked the idea of it being a tool for accountability when I reach my goal and it did not alter my body's systems like bypass does. The band will help you lose obviously but I am more interested in keeping the weight off... which the band will allow me to do.

Learning To Chew
I take a multi vitamin... gummy style.... I also take the biotein just in case. In the winter I take chewable vitamin C.

Sick And Tired Of People Being Rude/discouraging
That sounds like the smart thing to do. It is unfortunate we all have friends and family who are unsupportive. I try to remember that they are the way they are because of them....not because of anything I did. We cannot pick our relatives but we can control the way they interact in our lives. You mother is insecure, jealous or resentful of you for some reason. That would motivate me more actually... But in the meantime I would politely say... Mom... I got this. I think its best if we do not discuss my journey. You will just have to see the results. Good Luck

Dr. Kuri Put A 4Cc Band In Me - Is That Good
I have never known of a person getting a fill at the time of surgery so I cannot comment... But glad to hear the surgery went well. My first fill to my empty band was at two mths post op.... I got 3 ccs ... I am now at 5.5 ccs *******Editing because I realize I read your post wrong... Sorry... I don't know anything about that band but I am sure your dr knows what he is doing

Smoking And Lapband?
Well so far I haven't quit but I am not ready yet. I plan on being to goal soon so then will tackle the smoking, but I must caution you... Get the band because you want to lose weight...not because you think if you lose weight you will quit smoking. Best of luck!

Am I The Only One
The weekend before I started my pre op diet hubby and I went on a road trip to celebrate my upcoming surgery and to indulge in foods I knew I wouldnt be having for a long time. For 4 days we eat, drank and had a ball... But when we pulled into the driveway at home on that Sunday night I knew it was over. It was like the farewell tour to chicken wings, diet coke, french fries, pizza, gyros and candy...but you know what.. I was ready. And I haven't looked back since.

No Weightloss @1Yr Banded
I would think a good nutritionist would advise you to count calories and track your food. Because with all that exercise I am really surprised you aren't losing at a rapid pace. If your NUT or dr isn't being helpful see if you can find someone who is. If that isnt an option try to only eat 1200 calories in a day, stay away from fried foods and junk food and eat no more that 3/4 oz of Protein, 1/2 c veggies and 1/4 c startch at each meal. I bet the weight will come off. Good luck

Alcohol
I have actually mixed crystal light in a water bottle and given it to the bartender to use to mix my drink. Or less obvious keep it in your purse and order vodka on the rocks and a tall glass of ice on the side. The vodka will come in a short glass so you can transfer into the tall one and add the crystal light from your purse. If its a dive bar they won't care
-
Alcohol
Crystal light comes in individual packets so you can mix it easily enough. Something else I tried once was vodka and Water with a splash of orange and cranberry juice. The splash isnt enough to count and just track the vodka calories for your daily allowances, Have fun

Sneezing.....
Yes I have sneezed up food... It's gross but it wont hurt anything unless it is an ongoing thing. Hope you feel better
-
I Knew Better
The port is sewn into the wall of the abdominal wall do you may have just pulled a muscle. If you have severe pain in the next day or so I would call the dr.

I Knew Better
The microwave isn't a bandster's friend.... Everything I try to heat up in the microwave dries out and I cannot eat it. Well except soup........Hope you are feeling better.
