  1. Congratulations Renee! That is an awesome weight loss!
  2. Congratulations! Do you have a surgery date yet?
  3. I forgot to say congratulations Tiff on getting to wear those crop pants! It always feels so good to be able to wear something that we haven't been able to wear in awhile.
  4. Anyone tried those tiny little cans of chicken salad? I lived on those for a long time in the beginning.
  5. I was really sick today. I don't know what was wrong. I went to pick up some meds at the vet for my dog and started feeling sick. I had to pull the car over 4 times cause everything was spinning and I opened up the car door and dry heaved each time. When I tried to walk from the car into the house, I fell down. I went to bed and put a cold wash cloth on my head and slept for 3 hours. I feel fine now. It's just so strange. Bearded, hardly anyone can eat bread. Try crackers instead. You have to remember your stomach is the size of your middle finger. You know, the one you feel like putting up when you think of how much the sleeve is annoying you!
  6. somebody come in and chat with me!
  7. VA, It's hard for me to remember that you are only 6 weeks out. I keep thinking you got sleeved about the same time I did. I guess in sleeve world, 6 weeks is a lot longer. In the long run, we will consider that we were sleeved right about the same time. I hope that things start getting easier for you soon.
  8. Tiff, I hope Aug. flies by for you. Doesn't he come home in Sept? Jane, what program are you talking about?
  9. I know at least 20 people who have had RNY and have gained all or most of their weight back. It's great in the beginning, but the dumping syndrome does go away, and their stomachs are stretched to the point that they can eat quite large portions compared to a sleeved stomach.
  10. So nobody else has anything on their mind?
  11. Please post them. I am not into cooking and I would appreciate any easy recipes !:crying:
  12. I went alone because I had nobody who could go with me. It was not a big deal. I was bored more than anything else. Dr. Campos let me use his lap top and that kept me from going stir crazy.
  13. I don't really eat solids all that often. I stayed on mushies longer just because it was very difficult for me to get used to eating solids. I made taco meat with ground turkey with sour cream and light salsa and ate a little bit of that every day at first. I also ate a little bit of egg salad at first. I am 3 months out and still sometimes have no appetite. It will come back. Just eat what sounds good to you, and be prepared to only be able to eat a few bites. It's normal. I also eat half a Protein bar sometimes when nothing else sounds good.
  14. Yes , just call the number on the side of the screen. You will be assigned a patient coordinator. They will email you a lot of questions and a medical evaluation. If you want November, they will tell you what dates are available.
  15. Who knows how to make Korean food? I hope you don't think I do. I can barely cook. It's one reason I drink so many protein drinks.
  16. Welcome to Vertical Sleeve Talk. We all wish you success in your journey.
  17. Glad you're home and on the mend. Hope you're doing okay on the post op diet.
  18. Oh, I have never heard of that one.
  19. I usually eat left overs too. I also really like those little cans of chicken salad. Sometimes I take a slice of Virgina baked ham and roll it over a low fat colby jack cheese stick or a LF String cheese. I almost always have a doggie bag of something from going out to dinner over the weekend, and I am able to get 2 more lunches out of it.
  20. On lap band talk, there is a thread called "posting just to post" I think we need that thread here. We can talk about anything that's on our mind. This past weekend I went camping. In the middle of the night, the sprinklers came on with no warning. I seriously think the entire campground could hear me yelling "shut that off!" I had a book I borrowed from a friend on the picnic table. It got completely ruined. I am not happy. they should put signs up that underground sprinklers come on so don't set your tent up over one of these underground hidden sprinklers!
  21. TT= tummy tuck? or something different?
  22. I think she will be back eventually. She is a board junkie like me, so I think she will come back now and then. that is just my opinion. I do plan to ask her next time I talk to her. I am having trouble with the Dr. Aceves board. Do they not update it frequently? The same posts have been there since I looked on fri. and the posts i made are not there yet. It said it had to be approved by a moderator. I wonder how long that takes?
  23. Hello, nice to meet you! Glad you found us. Where is your blog?
  24. wheeewww! I hate clothes shopping but I do consider it a necessity .
  25. A nudist group? Are you planning to visit there while I come to visit? I'll just stay home and watch tv or go shopping. I don't need any more clothes but I wear them just the same.
