  1. Oh I should have added that I am doing step for 30 minutes at least if not more than 3 times a week and at work I tone with a hand weight and elastic strap we keep for down times.
  2. HOW do you loose so much so fast?? I just posted in another thread that I have only lost 29 pounds in 11 weeks and I am going nuts about it! Now for the hair thing, I am just starting to see some effects, like breakage and loss. I too have very thick hair and figure I can go without some for a bit I knew going in that I might loose some hair, but I figured it was very small "temporary" price to pay for getting healthy! Chin up, you are losing hair for a good thing, losing weight!!!!!!! Imagine what those feel who are losing it due to cancer? That should put things in perspective hah?
  3. I find it goes well in just about any liquid, clear or not!
  4. Wow,,, I know I had binged in the past, not a regular habit though. As far as binging after,,, IMPOSSIBLE for me, there just is not room. When I was learning my new stomach I took just one bite too many a couple of times and the discomfort it caused followed by having to vomit made me learn my new full que really really fast and I have not gone there in weeks. Unless you can eat through extreme discomfort that makes it hard to breath or talk I just don't see how you can binge with the sleeve. Now I can see eating too often might be a way around it, like grazing every hour. I wanted the weight loss too much and did not have surgery to allow myself to graze.
  5. I had a urge for a taste of some diet pop about 2 weeks ago, so I popped open the can looking forward to that fizz in my mouth, that refresshing ahhhhhhhh and I took a drink! For about 2 minutes I hurt and had to belch, just wasn't worth it, poured the rest out.
  6. SN..............Starting Wt........Current.......Goal.......Lbs to Goal Myrori................220..............191...............145................46 I do hope I will be at goal by Easter!
  7. So I am bit down. Let go back from the begining: Jan of 2010 I was at my highest ever, 271! From Jan to August I lost 40 pounds. In August I had my first consult for the surgery. On Nov 23rd I was at 220 with my 2 week pre op diet. Now here I am Feb 14th, I know not even 3 months and I have lost an additional 29 pounds and I frustrated as I have pretty much stalled since Jan 18th. I went up 4 pounds after starting the pill which I quit 2 weeks later and now yesterday I finally got down to 191 again where I was when I started the dang pill. So I am sitting here trying to rationalize with myself that 29 pounds in under 3 months is huge, yet there is this nagging feeling that it should be more faster! I am in a daily guilt fight with what I put in mouth even though I have not ate any bad foods since the surgery. I don't do breads and I watch carbs like crazy. I try to keep them under 30 a day. I guess I am wearing myself out emotionally with the fight to lose in what I perceive is not enough fast enough. I get down when I see folks losing 40 or 50 pounds in 2 months and think what am I doing wrong? I know when I look in mirror the person looking back is not bad at all compared to what I used to see, but when I look at my belly and legs I see the fat left to loose and feel like yuck. I have avoided buying any clothes as I keep thinking it will be a waste because I should loose more weight soon, but deep down I am not trusting that is going to happen any time soon because of the stall. (See the head game????) Just for example a typical day of food is like this for me: 1 160 cal, 30 gram Protein shake Greek yogurt with torani syrup or one with the fruit already. 2 or 3 oz of chicken or one of those tuna cans with crackers some days a afternoon snack of a 160 cal, 15 protein power bar more chicken for dinner.
  8. Hey YOU BELONG here, you have the desire for the surgery, you are trying to find a way and you struggle with daily fight to lose the weight. Please feel free to keep posting here!
  9. I think what you are really freaking out about is the fact that you never thought anyone at your age was really at risk of dying from something we generally think of as an older persons problem. This is probably the first time you have had to face mortality in a young person and you are realizing that you too could very much be at risk. It happens to all of us at different stages in our lives. The very reason I finally had the umph to have WLS was losing my Dad to a stoke from his High blood pressure. It got me to thinking about my blood pressure and weight and other diseases right around the corner if I did not lose the weight. I wish I had the ability and desire to have done something in my 20's like you, that is wonderful you took control. If you are really worried about your low heart rate go and get a work up, it can't hurt right? It is the unknown that harms.
  10. Even before my surgery I was never a morning eater. I mentioned to my nutritionist that eat seemed my stomach opened more as the day went on and she said that is common amongst her patients. I drink a 30gm of protein drink at 630 in the morning ( it has become my coffee) and then I eat a Greek Yogurt around 930 am . Then lunch around 11. Some days I have an afternoon snack and some days I just wait and have dinner depending on my calorie/carb count for the day.

    Sounds wonderful!
  12. Make them calls folks!!! It is the only way to convince them they have made a major mess up!
  13. I use bc pills for hormone replacements, so no I don't use anything else as my tubes are tied. You should discuss other options with your doc, like maybe the nuva ring or other less weight causing bc.
  14. Sorry about the pain, it may improve with the drain out. They gave you a ton of fluids in the hospital, combine that with the surgical trauma and that is why the scale has not moved. Each day will be better than the last and by next week you wont have any doubts you did the best thing for your life!
  15. What is your recommended calorie intake per day?
  16. Yes I quit taking them at 2 weeks and 4 pounds later. The stall lasted almost a month after I stpped them
  17. I had some REAL issues woth it too. I got so backed up I had to use enemmas to get things moving and I use Miralax to keep things moving. I was eating collace like candy to no avail. I too was use to going after eating (ibs) so I kmow what you mean about being extra uncomfortable!
  18. I take 2 celebrate multis 2 Vit b12 2 calcium citrate 2 fish oil 4 fruit and vegetable caplets
  19. I get hunger, but no like before, it is just a sense of needing to eat something when it has been too long. I no longer think of food or what I am going to eat next. Eating has become a something I have to do rather than I want to do.
  20. Im right there with you friend. I went on Birth control and gain 4 pounds in a couple days and then stalled for a month. Last week I finally lost 2 pound of that and then today up a pound. UGGHHHH<, but is impossible to gain weight on 600 calories a day I keep telling myself.
  21. I do believe the straw belief is a carry over form the Gastric Bypass. My daughter had that and Straws are a BIG NO NO for her, I think because their pouch hold the air and causes problems. We have no pouch so the air comes up instantly if we swallow it.
  22. Wow, amazing weightloss. I have only lost 30 in 3 months and I have been stalled for a month. I could cry at times. I know it is because I took off 50 before surgery, but still. I have gone over everything with my Nut and the only things I am guilty of is not getting enough calories a day and needing to add essential fatty acids in my diet.
  23. I regret I spent my whole life fat.
  24. Please take the time to call Premier, their phone number is on the back of each can/box. If enough people complain we can get them to fix it!
