  1. Congrats and Good luck, You Loser!!
  2. I went to my PreOp appt last week intent in getting the LB. I left the Dr office set on getting the sleeve instead. My reasons were cause of less maintenance n not having to think about the getting to the "green zone" or sweet spot.
  3. No nervous feelings here...just ready to get it on! My surgery time is scheduled for Noon.
  4. Good luck to us all! Sending happy, positive thoughts...
  5. I have a special tile just for my scale...My hubby knows to make sure it stays in that tile. That is how serious it is...funny, Yes.
  6. I wish they would move mine up! I told a coworker I was having surgery on Friday and he said, "why do you look so excited about it?"...I have told no one but the hubby/in laws. I am so looking forward to it...we get to start our new beginning.
  7. I am ritght there w you on Friday. Today is not a good PreOp Day; just one of those days when my stomach is really talking.
  8. You are not alone...I have been doing this since Labor day and I don't what changed...but whoa...I have been hungry All Day!...chewing my sf gum/drinking water and reading to stay busy.
  9. Good luck today!
  10. My doc allowed it...
  11. My hubby has been supportive from the very beginning (considered this back in 2010 but chickend out). He told his parents; I forgot to tell him I did not want to include many in on this...they have always been supportive and will not share any negative feedback whatsoever, just how they are...my family like Mom, etc are not like that. I have no plans on sharing this with my judging Mom until later on because I simply don't want to hear the negativity or the weekly weight checks. For example, I have been preparing for this surgery since March by working out with a personal trainer and carrying on a workout schedule. I have lost weight w this routine. My mother tells me "that's why you are losing, you are not doing it on your own". That was my sign...at this point, I don't need the negative comments, in my head, I have enough issues all on my own. I am so looking forward to Friday!
  12. I have found that I love the EAS Myoplex Reg and Lite Ready to Drink shakes (order of favorite flavors: Choc Fudge/Cookies n Cream/Strawberry Cream/French Vanilla). I do not like the Labador Lean Body...taste like paste to me.
  13. I had a reduction years ago and I too have those concerns now that I am losing weight. Bottom line, I am getting healthier, for me that is the Big picture. What will happen will happen w tooty n fruty(hubby's pet name).
  14. Congrats and Good lock on Monday!
  15. About to be sleeved...near Pearland
  16. My day is the 21st...preop diet, Yeah...been doin it since Labor Day.
  17. Yeah, you were right, no biggy at all! I came home and slept for a hour or so but have since been catching up like you on the shakes/water. I'm still amazed at how fast it was over. I got in the room at 730 and woke up around 745--doc was already talking to hubby. The hernia part did surprise as I have not had any symptoms whatsover; the Doc wanted to do the EGD just to know what things looked like before the surgery...now I am really glad he did--no surprises now. Thanks for the input!!!
  18. Hey, my EGD went really fast this morning! I do have a soar throat. I was told next week the Doc will be repairing my hiatal hernia he discovered today. The anesthesia they gave me burned quite a bit for like 15 seconds and then I was out.
  19. I started the process w True Results on May 21; insurance required 3 (really 4) month med supv diet/, etc. During that time I did labs, pysch/nutrition visits, etc. Insurance paperwork submitted for approval on 8/23 (True results will not submit until everything is done); Fed BCBS approved on 8/27. On 8/29 Dr. Reilly's office scheduled my preop appt/surgery day. I met w Dr. Reilly for the preop this past Tues; had an EGD today w Dr. Reilly and surgery is on for next Friday 9/21.
  20. I am having the EGD tomorrow and I can say I am not all that excited...never done this before and don't really like the thought of something going long/thin going down my throat. I am supposed to be at the hospital at 6 a.m....I think I am going to bed soon.
  21. No cheating allowed for I am strong...8 more days, I know I can make it!
  22. Congrats! My day is the day after you.
  23. Knee pain (diagnosed with arthritis) High Cholestrol Lymphedema (aided by extra weight) Back pain Walking up stairs feeling out of breath Paying more for clothes due to buying XX Spending moret time at the Dr's office due to weight related issues...more $$ which has led to more meds for this/that
  24. I have Fed BCBS. Paperwork submitted 8/23;approved 8/27.
