  1. Go for it! Life is short. Why not be happy? I strongly believe at this point it is all about us; we have come to far. Moms have needs too ya know.
  2. I have fuzzy socks I wear to bed now...yes, I too am always cold, but I was always cold before the surgery. However, I have noticed that when I go to the gym, I don't sweat much. Oh and I have nightly green tea or cider or hot chocolate.
  3. First, my hospital (West Houston) is having a Bariatric Holiday Ball this week and it's formal. Second, I went to Macy's and shopped in the non plus size area for the first time in I don't know when...I came out w a $110 dress discounted to $20 which is a size 12 (been a long time). I am finally starting to get it...my mind (force of habit) makes me gravitate to the plus section. I am now making an effort to try the smaller sizes. Just excited to be in a smaller size!!
  4. Yes, Happy Thanksgiving/Turkey Day! This will truly be a new experience for me...no stuffing my mouth today. Hubby says he is gonna prepare a small sampler plate for me. I look at all the food that is prepared/being prepared and wonder how did I ever take it all in. I am thankful knowing there is no way I will overeat today!
  5. I have Fed BCBS. I went in for my preop set to get the lap band. After discussing w dr I changed to the sleeve. Ins simply changed the approval code to the sleeve was told once I'm approved I was approved for any of the WLS. I still had my surgery the next week as planned. No biggie at all for me.
  6. I'm 5'2 started at 228 and am now 193; sleeve date 9/21. My goal is to get to 135 within a year or so...reclaim that teenage body . Anything is possible, right?
  7. My Doc is making me wait 2 months before going back to my Trainer. I'm so looking forward to a 25 min session of gettin my a** handed to me. I truly Njoy the feeling I get afterwards. I think I will be better now w a few pounds off since I last worked our w him but I know I'm gonna b so rusty...that I don't look forward to.
  8. Hi all. Since the surgery I've lost 17lbs. Getting all the protein/water is a day by day thing for me...some r better than others. I have been cleared for solids and am slowly getting over this mind thing holding me back.
  9. Welcome to the group. It seems things get better w time...
  10. Oh no, I didnt' lose 100 lbs in a month. I meant I am now in the 100s meaning I stepped on the scale and it didn't say 2**!
