    1st Night of my journey

Doing a pre op really really helps with going to liquid. It helps to ease the shock of going from eating to drinking liquid and purée for 6-8 weeks. Going from steak and potatoes one day to clear broth can be traumatic. Sent from my iPhone using BariatricPal

    Any surgery buddies for 2/13/17

My day is near and now I am so excited. Been a long long journey for me as I ended up with a DVT in my right arm which pushed my surgery 6 months out . Question does or did any one have to do a bowel prep day before surgery? Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

    1st Night of my journey

My surgery was at 1230pm today. Unfortunately, my single incision turned into two. The doctor says it was because of my height (6'7"). He did mention it could happen. I was released at 630pm, and now home in a lounger. The nurses advised me not to sleep on my back until the gas pressure is gone. The gas pressure certainly is still real thing. Surprisingly, liquids seem to be going down well. Granted small sips, but I drank 8oz of Water at hospital in 3 hours, and now 4oz in less than an hour. My surgeon didn't require a pre-op diet, except the day before the surgery. I put on a few pounds, but my SW 372 GW 260 Good luck to the rest of February sleevers. Let's do our journey together. Guilt.

@anneelliot I really respect your honesty and I'm sorry you are having acid reflux ! I know that sucks s I have had it in the past. With almost three weeks till surgery I am tempted to try it in my own once again but then I reflect on the last ten years of a really valiant effort and find my BMI is up from 36 to 40? And there's so much I want to accomplish.

    Newbie

I was 27 when I had my tonsillectomy, I thought I was gonna die, lol. I deal well with pain, no pain meds with any of my csections, but I took my meds every 4 hours when I had my tonsillectomy, lol... I know I will feel so much better, my feet hurt all the time now... So I Did It!

My surgeon said that it's best to have RNY following the band. I know I see lots of both on here but I'm going with RNY. I start my 2 week pre-op diet tomorrow! I'm very excited! I'm excited for you too!
