    From: A New Pressing Issue..

I would go in and tell my boss as soon as possible. This would be more of a courteous than looking for approval. You do not need anyone's approval for this surgery. You are an adult and can make your own decisions and I think that you are making an excellent choice. I too did not tell that many people except very close friends and family. I figure that is nobodys business anyway. It was the best decision in my life and i will never regret the surgery of going to Tijuana Mexico to have my surgery with Dr F Garcia. He has given me back my life and it will never be the same for which I will be forever grateful. As for the larger co-worker that went off on you about doing it the old fashioned way I will dismiss her and let her see the results that you are going to achieve. If losing weight for some of us was that easy then why is she still so overweight. And do not let her tell you that she wants to stay that way and that she happy. Please keep me posted as to your surgery and how you do after. I know you will do great and have my support.

I went to a support group and was given a sample protein packet from champion nutrition, ultramet original it is vanilla flavor. I am in love it taste like a milk shake it's not real thick but it is delicious. I originally purchased one from walmart just to try it, but it does not compare to this one. I hope you find something you like,

I hated EVERY single protein shake I tried. I spent so much money & felt miserable. I finally found UNJURY Chicken Soup which appealed to my salty cravings and added Any Whey Protein (I ordered mine through Amazon) to Carbmaster Yogurt. But a shake, kill me now!!!!!! I know it's hard, but the liquid protein is a very short period - soon you will be getting your protein from real foods & never have to have another protein supplement unless you truly find one you enjoy.

    Im Feeling So Disappointed...

If you can lose the scale, GREAT! However, I know the best advice is to lose the scale, but I just never could. I had to remind myself that the scale fluctuates because my body holds fluids some days and other days I have a good poop! Somedays I believed the self-talk and other days I wanted to throw the scale out the window!!!! But, you are definitely doing great & your body is adjusting a lot in weeks 2 and 3. As another poster said, you are going to look back and go "wow, it really came off quick". It's just hard to believe it when the scale doesn't move.

http://www.amazon.com/Pure-Protein-Ready-Drink-Vanilla/dp/B002XULCB6 Pure Protein Shakes - These are my favorite...they arent thick at all like those icky shakes, and they have tons of protein. I dont know where you live, but I can get them at a local store (Trader Joes). The vanilla tastes like egg nogg, and the chocolate is wonderful. Such a refreshing change from the protein powder, yuck! I may never go back, lol. Good luck!

    Giving Away My Scale! (temporarily;)

I agree with the scale and I keep it in the bathroom that I do not use so I do not see it every day. Since I had my surgery on a Monday I only go in and weigh on Monday's. I for one get down when I get on the scale and I have not lost or even gained a pound or 2. Think you are a smart woman.

    Giving Away My Scale! (temporarily;)

I think I love you. You have no idea the battles I have fought on this forum regarding the scale. Yes, put it away. Great decision. Now, my other battle is Protein shakes ... one at a time.

    Fears And Concerns

Here's a good old saying: Worring is like a rocking chair, you can do it as much as you want, but it won't get you anywhere! Good luck and stay positive! YOU CAN DO IT!! I have just started my journey as well...the head games you play with yourself will always be there I think - it's just how you manage through them that counts.

    Fears And Concerns

I agree with everyone here. It is not surprising that we all have many of the same fears. I hang on to this verse for dear life: Phillipians 4-6 Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. Worry is unhealthy--concern is healthy.......... Be concerned sure, and study and investigate the options....but don't let fear hold you back......

    Fears And Concerns

These are normal fears. Any type of surgery is scary. You are reacting very normal. I have the same fears, if we didn't, then I would worry
