    What will summer look like

So today I was looking at my pictures from last summer. The one picture that got my attention the most was a family photo of me my son and husband at one of our camping trips. I remember during this photo I smiled because I knew it was going to be my last summer feeling so helpless with my weight. I cant wait to see what this summer will look like. I cant wait until summer comes and I can compare photos from last summer to this years summer. Is anyone else looking to compare photos from last summer to this coming summer?

    Questioning the surgery...

I am having the surgery. I have talked about it extensively with my husband and I want to be around for my kiddos.

    Questioning the surgery...

You have to decide for yourself and do this for yourself. Do you really want to be healthier? Do you want to be more active? Do you want to stave off diseases that come with obesity? Stick to your decision.

    Discouraging

In all that huge pile of permissions/acknowledgments/etc. that we sign before surgery, there should be one form, typed in huge block letters, that says "please sign below to indicate that you have been told that your scale is a b***h!" Then that page should be framed and hung above the scale. You are losing fat. You have to be. You're not eating enough to keep a good-sized gerbil happy. However, on the grand platform of hormones, swelling, fluid retention, and just plain contrariness, the scale isn't showing it right now. If you haven't already, please take your measurements! There is hardly ever a time where you don't lose either pounds or inches! Having a second source of confirmation helps to keep you from getting discouraged. ((hugs))

    Changed mind about WLS?

I WISH I could've tricked myself into thinking I was a health nut that ate right and worked out all the time. Unfortunately that's not possible. It's called yo-yo dieting and is the reason most people on this forum opted for WLS. Once you get to a point where you are tired of failing at fad diets and your health has deteriorated to a point that only drastic measures will work, then you will be ready to consider WLS. It's a serious reminder/tool that you were in a bad place and an early death was imminent.

    Weight loss with breast loss

For me it was a trade off. I was still curved. Also the excess skin went into my bra - the result was still curved. The healthy me cared less about my breast size. Declaimed - I went for plastics.

    Endometriosis & Weight Loss

@ChristieNandez any update? I never had pain from my endo pain outside of my period until Jan of this year when a golf ball sized endo growth was taken off of my abdominal wall. From there the pain has been off the charts. I had an ablation that helped and went on Depot Lupron to keep it from returning quickly. The pounds packed on this year. I was sleeved on 10/22 and things have been going good but I definitely still have severe hip/back pain. Whenever a flair up happens, I stall or gain weight.
