Thank you! Unfortunately, due to my insurance, I can't see a bariatric surgeon because they don't take it at all and the only surgeons that are here in my neck of the woods are in the next town over. I can, however, see a nutritionist. I am in therapy but I never really talk about my surgery, I will start doing that. I didn't think to track food, it is a good idea. Does my fitness pal have premium? Also, I'll post in the VET form. Sent from my SM-S727VL using BariatricPal mobile app

    Lower Back Pain

During my barium swallow I found out that I have moderate scoliosis, so... if your doc has the scan on hand, go ahead and ask them if that's something you should check out (they won't diagnose you, but can at least tell you if it's something you should see a doc about).

My official started date of pre op diet was July 13, so far down 21lbs. I'm happy my goal is to lose 10lbs in 6 days. I think I can do it with liquids and a little excercise. My doctor didn't want me to gain weight. Does anybody have a goal to reach in there Pre op diet? Or do your doctor have goal for you? Sent from my SM-N920T using BariatricPal mobile app

    Finally Here!

You should be able to have sugar free popsicles. It is a liquid. That as well as sf jello. Both are liquids. This is what I have been told to eat.

I had previous surgery scars from years gone by. I had open surgery for my bypass. Seriously it is nothing to be worried about. In some ways it was easier - none of the post-laparoscopic surgery gas pain for example! And my recovery was real quick. I had gallstones last month - oddly enough after saying that too would have to be open - they did it laparoscopically!! In terms of recovery for the two - not much difference. Longer in hospital for the open bypass, a couple of nights sleeping in a recliner before I lay flat, but all up pretty ok...

    Surgical Glue.....

I found that trimming off the loose edges made a world of difference! Cut down on the itching and pulling.
