    Forced malabsorption

For me it creates a laxative effect in high amounts, for you it may be another food Sent from my Coolpad 3622A using BariatricPal mobile app

    driving after surgery?

Typically, most seem to recommend that one can drive once one has been off of narcotic pain relievers for a day or two. I didn't drive much the first week or so as my wife was around and she liked to play "mother", but I drove the couple hours to the 10 day follow up appointment without any issue (she doesn't do mornings well!)

    Hey guys I’m new here

Hey! Mine is the 19th I’m soooo excited. Of course nervous too lol. I’m just ready to start seeing results and start living my best life haha 😂 but yea I’m anticipating sometime in August and at the latest September 🙄 I just think the sooner the better for me. I see people talking about small goals they have set, have you done this? I haven’t yet only long term.

    driving after surgery?

hey guys! i was just reading through my booklet from the hospital and it says that they recommend no driving until you’ve had your post-op appointment which is 7-10 days after surgery. now that should be fine and i’ll follow whatever they tell me to, but i’ve never heard this before so i’m just wondering what the general consensus on this is? I’m only taking a week off of work (I nanny, so i’m not really stressed about “going back to work” since it’s easy and i don’t do much, but still?)

    Hey guys I’m new here

Hey girl! I'm not as young as you, but I too am coming up on finishing my appointments (last one is 8/10 and endoscopy is next Friday). I an VERY nervous about surgery but I am more excited so I try to focus on that; my anxiety is through the roof with this but I am glad I have decided to go through it. My anticipated surgery date is sometime in late August or September sometime.

I'm 5 months out. I'm at the low end of the calorie scale. I have a lot of restriction, and not a lot of physical hunger. I usually have shake in the morning, and 3 or so meals/snacks. As I said I have a lot of restriction, so a meal/snack is 1 oz of cheese or jerky, 1/2 to1 cup of soup, cucumbers with dip, laughing cow cheese w 34 degree crackers, coleslaw w light dressing, dehydrated cheese crackers, sandwich w 1/2 a slice of bread, 1 slice of turkey, mustard, ff mayo and lettuce, protein pasta w a 1/2 a turkey meatball and marinara sauce (2 oz by wt), greek yogurt, sf jello w greek yogurt, slice of watermelon 1/3 a Chicken or Mahi burger patty only (TJ's), quesadilla w a 1/2 a low carb tortilla, 1/2 oz cheese and salsa. So basically a shake, and mix and match from the other items I listed.
