Ugh! It is the worst! But I guess they are getting our New stomachs ready for their new adventures lol! The hunger is what freaks me out, I long for a mashed sweet potato! I am from cape cod and I HATE fish so that's out, plus tilapia is literally the garbage fish of the sea, it is not good for you admits the only kind I "like". Blended chicken for me.

    Tea Drinkers

I agree, I avoid everything with added sugar. These teas will be a hard exception though, they are too good to pass up. I don't feel guilty drinking them, as I have a hard time with fluids. I add stevia to mine, so I don't get that real opportunity to enjoy the natural sweetness.

Wow, your post made me laugh and then sigh! No, normal sized people (even ones that want to lose 40 pounds) have no idea how desperate you can become. Or how each failure piles onto the last one until you've got your own Mt. Kilimanjaro to climb. My mother (never had a weight problem, died of COPD) strongly encouraged me to take up smoking. Really! And, no, I didn't go there.

Baritastic is another free app you can use or Lose It. Also if you are able add a 20 minute walk (beyond your normal daily activities) try making it a new habit. Just reduce your caffeine gradually so you won't get a withdrawal headache. Up the vegetable intake, stay away from starchier ones or at least limit it to one per day - go for green veggies as much as you want - lower carb like broccoli, gren beans, asparagus, zucchini, salad greens, kale, etc. , if you must do grains stick to one serving of whole grains daily. Journal your feelings about your journey and your relationship to food - you don't have to like what you are feeling but just notice what is going on with it. Develop a hobby to ease the anxiety over changing your life - word puzzles, woodworking, crafting, fishing, window box gardening, anything to keep your mind occupied. Good luck.

    Must try!

Chicken Cordon Bleu Wonton Cupcakes Yield: 12 cupcakes Ingredients: 12 oz (2 ½ cups) cooked diced or shredded chicken breast (I used grilled and diced) 3 oz thinly sliced deli ham, chopped (I used Hillshire Farm Deli Select Ultra Thin Brown Sugar Ham) 8 wedges of The Laughing Cow Light Swiss Cheese Wedges, chopped 1 teaspoon mustard (I used French’s Yellow Mustard) 24 wonton wrappers 6 slices 2% Swiss Cheese, each cut into 4 equal pieces 0.75 oz seasoned croutons, crushed (I just put mine in a baggie and smushed them by hand until I had some chunks and some crumbs) Directions: Pre-heat the oven to 375. Lightly mist 12 cups in a standard muffin/cupcake tin with cooking spray and set aside. In a microwave-safe mixing bowl, combine the chicken, ham, chopped cheese wedges and mustard and stir together. Place the bowl in the microwave and heat on high for 1 ½ minutes until contents are warm. Use a spoon to mix contents and smush the cheese wedges until they’ve coated the meat. Push a wonton wrapper into the bottom of each of the sprayed cups in the muffin tin. Using about half of the chicken mixture, spoon evenly into the wonton wrappers. Place one of the 2% Swiss pieces on top of each cup. Press another wonton wrapper on top and repeat the layering steps with the remaining chicken mixture and 2% Swiss cheese. Bake for 10 minutes and remove from the oven. Sprinkle the crushed croutons evenly on top of each cup and return the pan to the oven for another 8-10 minutes until the wontons are golden brown and the contents are heated through. May 3rd Surgery Date

Hi Everyone, so today it was confirmed that my surgery date is next Thursday May 3rd. I am very nervous and scared especially since I live alone. I do have a ton of support from friends where I live in Florida who are willing to help out during this time and I also have friends who have gone through it too so they are a huge support. My family, especially my mother, does not know about the surgery and I am not telling them for the fact that I know they will either try and talk me out of it or not be supportive. So I’m doing this for me. Well all I’m asking is for some prayers and I know I’m going to rely on support from everyone here on the app so please reach out with some advice. I live in West Palm Beach, FL so if anyone is local it would be nice to have some local support too. Thanks guys!

How did you pick your doctor?

Did he/she appear,to be aloof or approachable. Do they welcome questions? Will they be accessible or will you be palmed off on ED doctors who are not familiar with Bariatrics? Do they practice in a partnership or are they lome doctor for this speciality.? Are their admitting privileges at a Center of Excellence hospital(in US) or with a teaching hospital.? Does his hospital routinely book in private or semi-private rooms? How long his patients remain in hospital or does surgeon do only surgery on an outpatient basis? Is surgeon board certified or merely board eligible? When are visits booked presurgical and postsurgical? How many surgery done yearly, how, many daily? Do they have a favorite surgery or they willing to discuss it with the patient? Are all surgeries laprascopicaly or are there occasional open procedures done?
