    Surgery recovery time?

It will differ for each person...there is no way to tell how you will respond as an individual. That said...I can speak to my experience.... The only time when I experienced anything other than mild discomfort was bedtime the first night after surgery...it was a little hard to get comfortable. Had a pain shot and was out like a light. I was pretty unstoppable. Woke up from surgery and wanted to start walking. Got myself out of bed with no problems...surprised the nurses, and just kept going. Day after surgery, I felt very much like myself, and went home that night. Incision pain was pinchy for about 3-4 days. I'm two weeks out and could easily do crunches or a rowing machine, but I'm being good and just walking 7 miles a day instead. The only thing that really slowed me down was a lack of calories. Needed fuel to think, heal, move. Once I got eating a little more, I felt terrific.

    Hard Work Pays Off ♥️

The first and last love is to love yourself! Never in a million years did I ever picture myself wearing such dress. I loved it and how I felt in it. Amazing feeling to experience. When your confident in each step, it shows and it attracts so many good things. One of the most memorable days of my life [emoji813]️

    5 weeks Post Op

Beginning weight Nov 13th: 243lbs As of Dec 20: 212lbs I feel I should be lighter. I'm extremely itchy from the weight loss. Hair loss is true. Why can't it fall off where I would want it too!!!! Lol Not getting enough water in so I downloaded an app water reminder. I like my protein ready made drinks too much, tastes like chocolate milk.... Might be over drinking those.... I'm a big coffee drinker. So extra sugar added, but I do use fat free half and half with a splash of international delight creamer in my 1st cup, then I put the protein in my cup to sip on that. Began with PCOS, not sure if that will give me a plateau effect. Two kids. 1 home to chase. Need to move more. I've been walking more with my dog but he is huge. Only comments from my husband & Mother they see my face is thinner, different. Like my ,"old smile lines".... Best, Halfsmile Sent from my 9024W using BariatricPal mobile app

    Drinking Protein

This might be a dumb question but do I need to drink my protien shake spread out or can I drink it within an hour? I just want to make sure it's getting absorbed and all that.

And no need to be worried about regrets (you'll see for yourself ) plus I'm only 7 weeks out from surgery so I assume eventually it will become second nature and I won't even notice anymore

I have a couple of things. That I would have an insane amount of gas anytime I ate or drank in the first couple of months. And that no amount of eating slowly can prevent that. Not an issue now at 10 weeks but was awful the first month. No regrets though. That eating would get disgusting. As in, I would not get the same feeling from food as I used to get and I would have food aversions to things to used to enjoy. Like guac, peanut butter, fried chicken. That my taste bud would change. Also that the sensation of food being stuck in your throat and throwing up is so uncomfortable and weird. When I started solids, it was interesting with chicken. And throwing up is just not the same. Thankfully it's better no gross sour bile taste anymore. Anyways.....lmao....my surgeon did tell me that. The last one is water. I knew already from nut class that I would need to sip slow with my water all day. But I don't think I knew the extent to which I would be unable physically to drink water. Especially since I was breastfeeding at the time of surgery and drinking 4L water a day! It was a huge shock to my system. I couldn't even drink up to 20 ounces that first week. And now I am at 48-64ounces. My norm is 3L a day pre sleeve. Anyways. I am just a newbie at 2.5 months. So still learning an discovering as I go. We shall see how things go. So grateful for this tool. The first 65 pounds has been awesome to get off, I am now only 15 pounds away from the weight I was before ever getting pregnant. That's one of my milestones.
