My paperwork was submitted yesterday to my insurance and I am anxiously awaiting approval. I have a tentative surgery date of May 9th! Excited & nervous!!!

hi newbie sure, people on board want to answer your questions support each other with love and encouragement we're not ignoring you, really!! hard to answer all of the questions so many people on these boards many other people don't get responses either not only you - don't take it personally people can't respond to all other people's posts keep asking your questions someone will jump in with an answer fellow WLS patients want to answer your questions when my nurse came in, i was allowed to swallow all my meds - i had told her i knew i would be ok if you HAVE to crush pills etc, i would put them in applesauce or ice cream (kidding about the ice cream) give me/us another chance - pppppplease your next question ? answer - of course i'm a nice person and a cutie too good luck bud safe surgery speedy recovery kathy

Oh my goodness! My surgery was approved! It Legit was submitted to my insurance on the 19th of April and was approved on the 24!! I can't wait to get my surgery date!!! [emoji813]️[emoji813]️[emoji813]️[emoji813]️[emoji813]️[emoji813]️[emoji813]️[emoji813]️

Good luck! Mine was yesterday. Its rough (it was for me anyway) the first day. Just walk, walk walk and sip on whatever liquids they allow you. Day 2 is a thousand times better!

II had my sleeve done 5 weeks ago by Dr. Illan. It went very well. I flew to San Diego and was picked up in an unmarked car (a tad bit of confusion there). Drove straight to the Oasis of Hope hospital. Paperwork, preop testing, before I knew it they had me heading into surgery. I woke up in recovery. After just a few minutes they took me back to my room. I had almost no pain... Just sore abdominals. As soon as I was ready, I could head out of my room and walk. The valets would walk with me. That evening I was a bit lightheaded, but by morning it was better. Nurses came in every 2 hours to give medicine in the IV. On the 3rd day I got my first shower and was discharged to the hotel. Right after getting to the hotel we went out for shopping and food for 5 hours. The next day I was out for 8 hours! The hotel was very nice. I hope to go back next year to see everyone again with my new body!
