I lost weight with just walking. I didn't go to the gym. Did the odd yoga class. I have regular DEXA scans and I lost very little muscle, like 3 pounds, which the Dr told me was normal just because you don't need as much muscle to carry less weight around. I kept my protein over 100 grams a day though, if you are living off 60 grams of protein and not working out, you are going to lose muscle. If you just want to drop weight fast, you drop weight faster not exercising. There are a lot of studies on the lack of effectiveness of exercise for weight loss. Google and do your own research.

Hi, I figured it out. It is something that needs to be enabled for the option to appear on the "+Create". To enable status updates. Do the following: 1) Click your username on the top right hand side (Then Click Account Settings) 2) On the right hand side, you will see edit profile. 3) Under entering your birthday, you will see "Enable Status Update". Then save it, it will show up like @biginjapan said.

    Heartburn(?)

You won't feel "full" for several months after some healing has occurred. At 3 days out just keep taking tiny sips of fluid. When you progress to puréed food and such, measure everything and just eat that portioned amount.

    Please

    Please help!!

Awe that's too bad. Are you lying down a lot? If you are, try to relax sitting up, you can put your feet up but don't lay down. Maybe prop your head up for a night or 2. Are you walking every couple of hours? You'll get there , just hang in there. I hope it's sooner then later.

I agree. I searched for hours and came up empty handed. I'm sure were aren't the only ones wanting to know/asking.

I was sleeved on the 5th October with a BMI or 30.8. I now have a BMI of 27. Getting close to normal. It's been quite straightforward so far and the fear was the worst bit. I'm a Brit living in Singapore, but the doctors/ hospitals here are fantastic. I self paid. I would say go ahead and don't listen to the naysayers. Only thing is, have you spoken to previous British patients from your doc. I'd insist on this. It will help you know what to expect. Be sure you will get the right after care if any issues. Good luck with your surgery ps there are some low BMI chats on here you may want to follow. Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App
