Waiting is the hardest part....

I am four months into my six month requirement and this is NOT easy. The protein shakes are fine, the drinking water is fine but, it's the not knowing if I will be approved that is the nerve wrecker. The insurance makes you go through all these humps and loops and in the end it's in their hands. I wish they would give you a pre-approval and surgery date so it's gives you something to look forward at the end of this circus act. The not knowing is the hardest part. All I want for Christmas is the surgery!!! I've been good this year Santa :).

I am right there with you. I have all my stuff submitted and am awaiting a decision. These last few months have taught me how to eat better and have gotten me motivated to start working out, so I am on my way regardless. But I am so frustrated not knowing. You are not alone!

im waiting on approval right now as well. I would hate that i went through all this testing just to be denied in the end. I just keep praying that if this is the right journey for me then i will be approved. good luck

  • Learn all you can about what life will be like "post sleeve" and ... stopp smoking, eliminate carbonated drinks, get water in, and convert your food intake to proteins and veggies first. Use this time to practice and (from the other side) time will have flown by.

I remember feeling the exact same way as you. Not knowing if I would be approved because my bmi was so close to the cutoff and having to go 6 months teetering at that same weight but not gain. When the time actually came it was like a whirlwind, my approval came through I have an apt then a week later my surg. I look back now and it still seems like it was a dream. Hang in there
