January 22 is the Day!

I got my date January 22 which is exactly seven months from my first appointment and five months to the date of the day my daughter gets married. I am so excited but also so scared. My eating has been horrible since I got the date especially eating way to much sugar! I feel terrible and I have to much time between now and when I start my pre-op diet to keep this up. You would think I would learn but quess that what has lead my to needing this surgery.

I pigged out the whole month before pre-op. Now I am 3 weeks out and down 31 lbs. I don't regret doing it. It was just one of those mental things. I have to have this and that one more time. We both know we are foodaholics and in my case carbaholic. We will have to deal with this the rest of our lives.

I did exactly the same thing! It's almost like you want to eat all you can before the big day. I would just suggest you try to back away from foods high in sugars now because once I had the surgery, I still craved those foods (not that your hungry). It's just a harder habit to break if you don't wing yourself off now. Good Luck to you and Congratulations on your date to a life changing experience!

Congratulations on your surgery date!! My surgery is January 21. In the past I have had cravings for sweets but following a low carb diet has helped me with fighting those sweet temptations. I keep some sugar free candies on hand for when I do get a sweet attack.
