Need To Vent

Kentucky Girl

I have a few things to get off of my chest today not to mention the 150 lbs. that I need to lose. As I sit here at my window seat desk, I can see my reflection staring back at me. It disgusts me to see the rolls of fat as I sit crunched in this office chair. My uniform shirts seem to shrink even though I wash them in cold water and hang them to dry. I have my fan blowing on my face because it is hot, (105-108 heat index today) but I would rather put a jacket on to cover up the rolls of fat because I don't want anyone seeing them. Like people can't look at me with or without a jacket and tell that I am morbidly obese right? Anyway, I just want to sneeze, blink or click my heals together and the weight be gone. I failed to mention that another thing that I am constantly worrying about while I sit in my chair at work. There are offic chairs for normal size people and office chairs for fat people. So who wants to seriously go to the office supply purchasing agent and say "I need a fat persons chair"? Not me. One day while sitting here I heard a loud pop. I instantly jumped out of my chair and examined it. Everything looked fine so I gently sat my large ass on the edge of the chair unsure of what had just happened. Suddenly, a loud noise that sounded like a gun shot went off drawing everyones attention to me ( I sit in a cube with 7 other people and none of them are FAT! I jumped up out of the chair and the spring mechanism had broken, stripped, gave out or just decided that it couldn't take my fat ass anymore . Oh yeah, I forgot to add that this chair was only 9 months old. So, daily I hold my breath and hope that it doesn't happen again before I can get this weight off. I am sure that no one else has ever had anything like this happen to them, RIGHT? : )

Forgot to add that we bought a 25 foot camper over the weekend. I wonder if it is normal to worry about breaking the steps every time I climb up in the camper or tipping the camper over!

I have a fat girl chair at work. It's funny because I was asked if I needed more room. This is a $700.00 chair. Since losing 56 lbs I get teased about how big my chair is now. Just two mths ago I was spread out nicely in the chair, I'm never giving up my fat girl chair even when two of me can fit in it.

I don't know how much you have to lose but don't cover yourself up because even when you lose weight you will still have some part of your body you will want to hide. (extra skin on arms, thighs etc) I say let it all be free fat rolls and extra skin. I honestly prefer my rolls to the skin but I was in pain with the rolls so I can handle some skin without pain.

Don't worry too much about the camper,

Love your honesty and Kgirl you are not alone, I have been there and it is the most uncomfortable feeling. The uniforms, haha.. I wanted to buy maternity just so they would fit but, of course that would be so obvious and I just couldnt give in to that... like if my rolls and belly were not showing all over the place. I had surgery on May 7 and I have lost 43lbs. my new body is coming and its wonderful. I want to ask you to find friends or a good support person for yourself after surgery because you will need them. Even if it is just 1 person, you should not plan on doing this alone. I wish you the best and for now keep up your spirits, you will be ok and our fat asses will be a thing of the past before we know it..

A fellow camper!! I have a 27 ft trailer. Just got back from 2 weeks in Cape Cod. Can't wait to be able to fit around my "walk around bed" without having my butt stick out half way into the bathroom.

Kgirl (I'm a Kgirl too, only I now live in Australia :) ) and I know those pops and bangs you mean. They are super embarrassing.....because everyone knows what they are, and who made them. Especially if you're me and your the only fat girl in your wing. Actually........I'm probably the fattest person in the building. There are 500 of us.

And I have an intense fear of steps on campers and motor homes. To the point that I refuse to climb them. Period. Which means I only see what I can see from peaking in the door.

Being fat has pretty ruined my life, but like you I'm changing that.

Good luck!
