Did Anyone Not Lose Wt The First Few Days After Surger?

It happens, the IV fluid takes a while to get out of the system, but dont be surprised if you lose 10 pounds in a week

It happened to me also. I lost 15 lbs while on protein, had surgery on 5/2/12. Weighed when I got home and I was back at my original weight almost. Its been 2 weeks out and I have lost the 15 again plus 6 more.

You are just swollen from surgery and all of the IV fluids, donniej is correct!!!

I didn't lose until after the first week, then Wow 12 lbs gone. Give it a few more days to see the scale drop.

thank you guys so much for responding. When you are going by the book to the tee and gain wt, especially on the clear diet, you start to get a bit worried that something is wrong. They should tell preop patients to expect a gain the first week, then they will lose. If they don't gain, good for them, but if they do then they would be prepared!

I felt the same way. i gained right after surgery. then lost 19# and had a stall for a WEEK! then lost 4 more pounds and am now at a stall again. smh.

I was sleeved on 5/1 and have not lost any weight since surgery. I keep reading that a big drop should be coming but when?? I've lost inches but not weight.
