Leaving Mexico And The Airport

We left Mexico this morning about 6:30 a.m. It took us 2 hours to cross the border. Ana said that on Sunday's it can take upward of 4 hours. The only thing I regret is not taking my water bottle out of my backpack in the back and drink it while we were waiting in line. I'm sure I could have go an extra 8 oz in that way.

 

I've had one 8 oz bottle of water and a popsicle so far. I'm in the middle of getting down an apple juice I bought at the airport (a little too sweet for me but I will plug away at it....that will give me an 15 additional ounces of liquid). I want to try the fresh squeezed OJ (if no pulp) to see if the acidic nature of it "bothers" my tummy.

 

I was super cheesed that I had to throw out my perfect 8 oz water bottle going through security. It felt less overwhelming then the regular 16 oz bottles.

    If you would have told them the water was for medical purpose they would have tested it and allowed you to board with it. It is something the airlines do not broadcast but if for medical they cannot deny you.

    I had some great help and advice from the TSA security in Yuma AZ when I was headed home. We were talking about the wheel chair help and visiting with woman about the surgery and she asked me in a certain way..."is that vitawater you have for medical purpose...keying me to answer "yes"...I of course said "OH YES IT IS" then she told me under TSA guidelines they allow passengers to board with liquid over the 3 oz if for medical purpose.

    They did check my passport at the border. I should have said the water was needed for medicinal purposes! My TSA screeners were not super friendly so I complied!
