On Tuesday this week I went to my nutritionist and I had lost a total of 35 lbs since the 1st time I saw her. She went over my food journal and calorie counts. Gave me some pointers, but all in all said I was doing wonderful and she couldn't have hoped for a better turn out. Needless to say I was pleased and happy.

So today is Thursday of the same week and I had a fill. So I wasn't worried when I was weight. WTH, I am up 3 lbs since Tuesday. WHAT??? My calorie counts have been well below my BMR- right about 1200. It's not my time of the month. So how in the heck I am up 3lbs in two days.

I know I shouldn't be freaked out because out bodies fluctuate day to day, but geez!! I had finally hit 209 - single digit 200's- only 9 more lbs till my 1st major goal. But now I am up. I feel defeated. Mind you I didn't and won't do what I use to do, which is go out and binge. I don't have a desire to do that anymore, I want to do the opposite, not eat anything, but that isn't healthy either.

My hubs says shake it off I will be back down by the weekend, but I don't feel confindent. I track each morsel that enters my mouth and I work out. I am far more active now than I have been in years and I sleep better, so what in the world.

I know it's only 3 lbs I need to chill out. But I needed to vent. I am back in my office now and I have no one to talk to about how I am feeling. I am on liquids for the remainder of the day so maybe that will help.

Any suggestions for my bander friends out there?

sweetie maybe the reason was you had heavier clothes on, and you probaly had already eating breakfast as well and it's adifferent scale so don't freak out ok ;-)

I find when the scale is stubborn...the inches reduce. So look at your clothes are they getting looser? Don't let the scale be such a focus...this is something I had to learn I am a slow looser and it is frustrating but I am hanging in there seeking all my successes which are non-scale related as well. I am feeling great also........how about you? So keep up the great work don't give up!

I do feel good and my clothes are looser. When I go to weigh at these appointments I always make sure to have on light weight clothes. I just really like when I go to the doctor for them to see the lower weight, because that is what they base my success on.

There are so many factors that can tweak your weight up and down. Water retention, your amount of activity (I ran a little test and weighed 2 more pounds right after working out than I did before I started), and so many other things. I always weigh myself in the morning, as soon as I wake up right after I go to the bathroom and stark naked. That's the only weight I take to heart. All the other scales are different than yours, and your body is different at certain times of day.

I know that won't make you feel better, but please don't be so hard on yourself. I am the same way with the weight loss and gain fluctuations, and it really takes its toll on your spirit after a few months. Look at big picture.

I had a fill on Friday and lost weight real fast being on liquids. Since I started eating food again I have gained 2 lbs. I hope it balances off this weekend.

Good luck!

suggestion from me.........as my hub and jeanie and other friends on here tell me as i start to spazz.....chill out...you know by now how the scale can go up and down all day long......who the heck knows why.....maybe an invisible ghost was on it.......i dont know

have you lost inches? have you went down in sizes in clothes? and i know from your posts that you are doing fantastic in foods etc....so its not weight. dont fall into that diet mentality. get rid of it now. or your grounded missy.

hang in there. i need you to be strong not only for yourself, but for me :)
