Hello Out There...

Hi everyone,

I just joined this site and am hoping to get to know a few of you out there. I'm having lap-banding in October and am nervous and excited. I have a friend who has had it done and she is having good results.

I am looking forward to reading some of your blogs and to learn more about what everyone goes through.

I came to my decision as I want to enjoy a longer life with my husband and also I have arthritis and losing weight will help ease some of the pain on my joints. I'm 41 and I am going to do this. Lately, I have been feeling down at what I see in the mirror and want to feel good about myself.

So on with my journey..One day at a time. :)

LAP-BAND Patients

Welcome! Best wishes on your journey. There is alot of great support here. THis site can be a little weird. Sometimes it is full of positive support and successful stories posted. Then for a week or two, it will take a turn to the negative and every post will be about a complication or failure. The week before my surgery all that was posted was band slips and "I have failed". I was freaked out! So just beware.

I am only 2 months post op but I am so happy. I feel better already and I am already at green zone and feel little or no hunger and get full fast. It is so great since I have never had that in my life.

LAP-BAND Patients

Welcome to the site. I joined a couple months ago and am scheduled for surgery July 19th. It has been a very long haul getting to this point. Almost a year for me. I can't wait!

A man spoke to us at my final class and was asked what was the worst part and he said the waiting. I believe that.

You will find a lot of support here. Most of it very good. Good luck with your process. I will keep everyone posted on my progress.
