Expectations Of Others !!!!

Has anyone experienced that others have expectations of how much weight you should have loss. It makes me feel like I've failed them someone. I am ok with losing 24 lbs in 5 weeks. I know that once I really get serious about exercising the weight will come off. I knew from the beginning that the weight loss would be much slower than the gastric bypass. Any suggestions as to how to handle this ?????

24lbs in 5 weeks is awesome!

Don't let the judgement of others affect your success nor your enjoyment of it. You are doing really well and this is your journey, not theirs.

LAP-BAND Patients

I have a couple friends that have been banded. Their success is what finally convinced me this is the better route than bypass. It DID come slower for them but 2 years later they BOTH have lost as much as another co-worker that lost it all the first year. If I hadn't seen it myself I might not believe it but the two banded have so much less extra skin (one has lost 100 lbs the other has lost 115) than our other friend. That alone was good enough for me. This is about YOU. You are amazing and you did this for YOU so be proud of yourself. You will have the success you want and the haters can eat your dust ;)
