First Fill, Not Much Restriciton !!!!!!

I had my first fill on Monday, 5/21/2012. I am 4 weeks post op on today. When I was getting my fill you know when they ask if its going down ok I may have been so nervous that I told them I felt like I had to burp when maybe I didn't, I don't know. But I do know that I don't feel restriction like I hear in some of the post. What amount should I be able to eat without feeling restrcition. I can eat more than a cup and a half at a single serving and not feel any restriction. I am not scheduled for another fill until 8/20/12. What should I do??????

You are perfectly normal not to feel restriction after your first fill. Some surgeons are quite aggressive and others are quite cautious with the amount per fill and that will make a difference to how long until you feel restriction as well. Congratulations on being banded, now you are in it for the long haul! Good luck.

Take it slow. Dont worry to much about the first fill. They don't want to over do you because with ever fill that you get its a learning game for you as to what can i eat now. After every fill you will find things that don't quite go down the same way any more or even at all. So really don't sweat the first fill. Its still about control, and you are still learning. I have had many fills and every time its a learning game. But make sure you keep getting them!!! And Good Luck!

It took me 5 fills to get any restriction. However, August is a long time, how many cc's did you get? and what size is your band?

I would recommend calling them next week and asking if you can move your next fill appointment up because you feel no restriction. I would also recommend portioning out your food at this time.
