You are doing great! keep up the good work! :) try adding a scoop of whey protein to your shakes I usually add a scoop of chocolate whey protein to the carnation instant breakfast and its not bad and definitely fills you up more. The extra protein is good for you too. You can also try plain greek yogurt and add some Mio flavoring and that's filling too. I say add the Mio flavoring because plain greek yogurt itself is pretty disgusting lol

Good luck with your surgery, August 17 will be here before you know it! I had mine 7/26 so if you need anything feel free to get in touch ;)

Milk + very little dextrose (corn sugar) + whey protein (chocolate, vanilla, etc) = almost a milkshake.

And it's actually pretty filling. I take the scoop for the whey and use it to scoop out the dextrose. I barely cover the bottom of the scoop and it's plenty, it actually sometimes tastes too sweet. Tastes a million times better than just water and whey.

Good luck, 3 mo post op here, lost 54lbs so far. You can do this!

Hang in there, it is so worth it. DO REMEMBER, it is all mental!

You are still going to have to be disaplined and it is all about the

choices you make. Stick to your dense protiens when your

dr says you can eat and you'll be fine. You're going to look and

feel WONDERFUL!

Hey Newtaby2011..... I am getting banded on August 23rd and my doctor wants to have a liquid diet for two weeks. I can not stand the protein shake. I have fallen off the wagon and need to get back on!!!

I am inspired that you are able to hold on and go through with staying on track!!!

I am going to try again today.... I wish you all the best and keep me posted. If you need to chat feel free to write me. I am on the same road as you at the same time. We could support each other!! God bless!!

Mscaramel, you are able to do this. I am on day 11 of my two weeks. My surgery is Monday 8/15. I have had some temptations, some everything. From wanting this food to that food but I know what I am working toward and that is what my mind is set on. You just look forward to 8/23. Keep me posted and we can chat or you can give me a call. Thats what got me thru this. A friend of mine just had it done and she really talked with me and supported me. My number is 912-220-6396
