10 days since band and I need a fill.....

Yes I'm the one that was complaining last week I couldn't get anything down... Now I can get anything and everything down and I'm having a hard time trying not to eat. I'm on the mushy food stage now. I never feel like I'm full. I'm making good choices in the food area but I have gained back 4 of the 11 lbs I lost last week. I'm stitting at my desk eating cottage cheese and ground up pneapple about 1 cup. I go to the doctor next week but I dont think he will give me a fill since he had to take out 4 cc from my band on Sunday. I'm looking for the green zone I hear about so often so this hunger thing will die a slow death. I quess everybody goes thru this when they are first banded. I've read how wonderful others are doing and hope I can look back in a year and have lost enough to be out of the 200. Good luck to all of you on your continued weight loss... :)

Keep with it!!!! Keep making your healthy choices!

Im only 3 days out of surgery and am having a hard time keeping up with the intake suggested by my dietician. She suggests that it no longer be a calorie game but a protien and fibre game. I am not hungry at all and on full liquids. I am having allot of protien oatmeal shakes and tomatoe juice with 2-4 tbsp of skim milk powder. I fool myself in to believing it is cream of tomatoe soup! I am adding that darned skim milk powder to everything. I find that I am way fuller with all of the protien Im taking.

I know this is just random advice from a newbie but I am sending my encouragement too! I've been told many many times over the last year on thsi journey that I can never depend on the restriction of the band alone... I have to find the ability to restrict my intake inside of myself. Kind of defeats the purpose of going through all of this BUT with fills taking so long to schedule here and never a 100% guarantee that the band will fix it all, I have to believe that and work on it!

GOOD LUCK TO YOU! I hope you find your sweet spot!

3 weeks from today I was banded and I did not loose and even gained within the last 4 days and then to my surprise I lost 3 lbs when I got on the scales this morning. My husband told me to stop weighing myself everyday and to just do it on Fridays but it is hard to do. So I am down 30 lbs from my highest weight and only down 12 lbs from surgery and should not have typed ONLY. 12 lbs is good. Think positive. I am eating everything now and it is working just fine. I am learning how to cook different like baking my fish instead of deep frying it. I get my fill next Thursday and yes, I am looking forward to it because yes, I do get hunger pains. So like I said, think positive and we will both be out of that 200 number.

i too am 3 week post op, the first 2 weeks i was scared to death and followed the diet to the T, but the better I feel the more I want some food. I am trying to follow the mushy food diet, i have found that chilli in the food processor keeps me full, not sure if I am even supposed to be eating that, but sometimes things just dont taste as good after they have been beat up in the food processor. So between the 8oz of chilli and my 8oz protein shakes I am a happy girl. I have snuck a few bites of salty crunchy goodness, it will always be a fight until the day i leave this Earth. My highest weigth was 281 and at the last doctors appt I was 245, so I cant complain, but I am looking forward to Feb 2 so I can get my first fill and really see how this band works. Good luck to us all WE deserve it!!!!
