My life changing experience at the PCP office

As you all know I went to my PCP to discuss the procedure, and she almost bit my head off for not being able to loss weight on my on:mad: I was hurt and deeply offend by her statement, I must admit I was a bit senstive about get on the scale in front of her. I gained 1 pound:phanvan but I felt lower than a bug when she said and I quote "It amazing how people can say that they can lose with weight with this band but you can't do it on your own it's mind over matter." End quote

I was to out done! I look that witch dead in the eye and told her butt OFF!! By the time I was done with her she sent me on my way with HER blessing and the APPROVAL for a specialist!!!!!!!!!!

I will be changing PCP as soon as this procedure done!:mad:

I have already called the doctor and I'am waiting for them to call me with the appointment. :clap2:

But it's cool baby Tia got what she needed and it's all good baby-baby!!

Sorry to hear she gave you all that drama.... She need to realize this is your life not hers. I cant stand when the doc act like that. Well its GREAT that you have your referral and now you can move on to the next stage. My suggestion... Call you ins co and find out exactly what their process is so you can be ahead of the game. With things like this, we need to be REAL AGRESSIVE!!!

I called them yesterday and they gave me a list of who they cover and they said they would need documentation from my pcp that I have tried diet after diet etc i told them that I had done all that with my pcp thats why she gave me the referral to go ahead and do the procedure. So I called all the doctors and Im waiting for them to call me back with an appt. Should I go ahead and get my medical records from my pcp? And should I let her go ahead and do blood work?

I would ask her if she yells at alcoholics for having their disease; trying to stop for a moment in time to lower risks during surgery has nothing to do with lifestyle change. If it were that easy, modern medicine should have come up with a cure for food addiction a long time ago. Makes me mad to think insurance co's are allowed to dictate how much out of control are bodies need to be in before they "grant" approval. Seems like the medical people ought to be dictating this decision. but don't get me started. personally, I'm going to pay out of pocket and go to Mexico for my banding next month. Wish me luck! Sufina
