Will I be able to enjoy yummy food again?

Good morning!

I have different questions that enter my mind every day. My question for today is...

Will I be able to enjoy yummy food after the surgery?

I know I need to be able to be in control, but wonder if I will be able to enjoy little things here and there...

:)

Yes! I enjoy many of the foods I enjoyed before. With the exception of white bread, sodas, and brownies I am good to go with all the foods I eat. I love coming up with low-fat and healthier versions of all my favorite meals. I go out to eat at restaurants and have fun with my family and friends at least once a month. I just pick the healthiest choice on the menu and leave the appetizers alone so I won't get full off of them. Sometimes I eat a couple of chips and salsa though but I leave room for the main course.

Yes! You can eat many of the same things as before just, now, with super portion control. There are, though, a lot of things I have tried and will never try again (pasta, most all bread, and rice). It's just not worth it, the stuck and sick feeling. Plus there are things I never have tried and prob won't (soda or anything with bubbles). But, like cookies and chips those go down easy...the crispy carbs I call them. But, with the band you are so full and satisfied it's so easy to not want them, and if you really need them have just a small amount and move on. :) Hope this helped! Good luck. :)
