♫?* Day after surgery ♫?*

WOW!!!! Im feeling pretty good. And honestly, the pain wasn't all the bad . The only thing really killing me is this cotton mouth. I can't drink anything until the results come back from the Upper GI.

It all happened so quick. They gave me some meds to calm my nerves before surgery and then they gave me the anesthesia through the IV, I was out in a flash. And I don't remember a thing!!!.

After that they brought me to my room and I was super drowsy. Whenever I felt any discomfort I called the nurse for meds as soon as I started to feel it. (Don't wait until you're really feeling it because it takes about 30min for them to actually come in).

Right now I'm waiting to see the surgeon and for them to give me the OK to go home. Pretty good experience overall. Nothing to fear guys...

Your newly Bandend friend,

Maria :tt1:

Dear Maria: I have found your posts very inspiring - particularly your letter to FOOD. I am being banded on November 22nd and am scared but excited. I have to do a 14 day protein fast - WTF!!! I am hearing of people only having to do three days before surgery.... not fair. Not fair at all. And then like two weeks of liquids. If that doesn't take off 30 pounds (out of 120) I don't know what else would. Look forward to hearing from you ... csolo (Cathy)

@Oceangirl: We are here for you... take advantage!!! I hope you get your surgery date soon. I know it was torture for me waiting to find out.

@Cathy: Good luck with your journey! It has its ups and downs but its totally worth it!!! I only had to do 5 days which isn't so bad... I cannot imagine doing 14!!! Wow! But you just have to keep your eye on the prize and give it all you got chica. You can do it!!!
