I had swelling and a lot of pain at the port site for the first couple of weeks, I even had muscle spasms that were horibly painful. Went to the ER they did a CT scan and all was fine, just irritated the muscle where they attached the port. I am almost 6 weeks out and no problems.

I had the same thing but it does slowly go down - it is only natural to worry since all these things going are are new and weird! 1 week to my banding I started my period so I had that cramp with the other pain and I was VERY ticked off to say the least! I am now 3 weeks out and doing much better - feeling like myself again. hang in there!

I had my surgery on Friday Aug. 13th and i was thinking the same thing, when is this pain going to go away. I guess every ones healing process is different. I to started my period 5 days in and i'm so irritated right now...i don't know if the pain is related to the surgery or to my cramps...lol sucks!
