Banded in October and fill in November - need help.

Hi,

I am very new to this - I live in New Mexico and was banded in Mexico. I have lost only 20 lbs. so far and got my first fill in late November. I have no idea if I am on track or totally off course.

Can someone please share their experience with me? I need to do my part which I haven't been doing. I need to start exercising and watch what I eat. I am also considering getting another fill soon.

In New Mexico we can only go to a fill center so I have had almost no aftercare. I just need to get my head on straight and reach out to others.

Any response would be much appreciated. Thank you.

LAP-BAND Patients

Hi Mama.

Aftercare is so important. I was getting so discouraged with not losing 'fast enough' but now that I've had my 4th fill 5.4cc in a 10cc band it's finally starting to happen. I am feeling restricted and just not interested in food. I'll bet you need more restriction. Don't be discouraged. You're not doing anything wrong. Hopefully you can find the aftercare you need to walk you through this. The surgery is only the beginning....it's all about proper restriction...lGranny
