My mom passed away Sunday evening. She was diagnosed with Stage 4 Breast cancer the day after my LAP-BAND®®®® Surgery on June 29. She struggled greatly the last few weeks and I know she is at peace. She was my strongest supporter for my surgery and I will always love her for that. Her funeral was Wednesday - I will try to attach the Eulogy I gave at her funeral Mass. Thanks you all for the prayers the past few months.

How wonderful of you to share your mom's touching eulogy with us. I enjoyed seeing a little glimpse of who your mother was -- I know her memory will one day bring such a peace to you and a smile to your face, rather than tears to your eyes. Thanks for sharing with us.

My June 29 LB buddy my heart is so heavy this morning after reading your blog. You are a wonderful daughter and you have a gift of strength. I am so sad to hear of the loss of your mother. I am so very sorry for your loss. No one, no one can ever tak the place of your mom can they? My mother is a breast cancer surviver, 6 years in January but she had lung cancer this last winter and it scares me to death. My mom is also my biggest supporter. I think I could committ murder and my mom would swear it was some one elses fault. It will take much time for you to start to heal and honestly life will never be the same but she would want you to go on and live your life the the fullest. Thats what, as moms, we do. Laura, I just read the beautiful words you wrote about your mother. I am a social worker in a nursing home and my closest friends are these residents, cna's and nurses that care for them. What an incredibel legacy she leaves, what a blessing. God blessed you with an incredibel woman to raise you and I am sure she was touched thousands with her love. I am at work with tears streaming down my face for the loss of a woman I never knew. God bless you.

I am so sorry to hear about you Mom. if you remember my Mom passed from breast cancer also. The road ahead will be full of ups and downs but please know you have friends here that understand. Laura I just read your words you attached. I am crying like a baby. Your Mom reminds me so much of my Mom the look, the make up and how much she loved her grandchildren. We are so lucky to have had such great Mom,s. I can only hope to be as good of person as them!
