LAP-BAND Patients

I am looking into getting the surgery done but i just have a few questions. If you were to have the surgery are you allowed to drink

alcohol after the surgery?

Yes, you can drink alcohol, but you have to remember you are drinking calories. Empty calories.

Ditto on the empty calories. I have had a drink or two but I tend to like them sweet so I stay away. I was never a huge drinker before and guess even less now. But to answer your question...yes you can drink....the real question is do you really want to?

The key word is moderation.

You figure 100 cals for every shot & 100 cals for 5 oz of wine... Don't forget the calories in the mixers.

You do the math.
