Start by talking to your primary physician/family doctor. The first thing I did was call and schedule to go to a seminar, but then just happened to have a doctor appt and mentioned to him that I was going to the seminar. He told me not to go and referred me to a different place that is works with my insurance company. It has taken me 6 months to do all the appts and stuff required for surgery, but I am approved and ready to get banded on July 23. Thanks to my regular doctor, everything has gone smoothly!

Thanks for your reply. I just really think I need to make sure this is what I want to do. I have been looking at all of the before and after photos all of them look wonderful. Do you Ins company pay for your band?

Hi were to start. Its the right place to start. Call your bariatric center and see how about you need to get started. If you have insurance they will take all your information and can tell you in a few days if your insurance will pay for it or not. Mine paid for all but about 1000.00 or less. thats not bad . It takes about 6 months of classes if your insurance requires that and most of them do. So take the dive and jump on in its nothing to worry about if you are as misserable as you say you are and depressed. we have all been there. hang in there and jump on the phone. and call.
