Good Afternoon Lapband Family

Hello, i had my lapband surgery on 1/28/12 go for my first fill on 3/13/12. I have lost almost 28 lbs since one week before surgery. I must say I am still hungry. I try not to overeat and have not gotten sick from eating too much or eating without chewing 25 to 30 times lol. i was wondering if when one gets filled the hunger subsides? i realize that self control is still needed even with the lapband. Can't Wait Till Friday

Good afternoon all, Well friday I will finally be done with the 3 weeks worth of liquids my surgeon had me on since surgery. When i last saw him he had said I did not have to go to mushies straight to food but to be chewed extremely well. I am a little nervous since it has been 3 weeks since I have eaten anything. My plan is to start with soft foods and to take my time. It has been very hard with the liquids I feel hungry and at times even queezy stomach feels empty. lol Hope to come back her

1St Post Op Visit Since My Surgery

On tuesday I had my 1st visit to the surgeon since my lapband surgery on 1/28/12 all looked good down 20 lbs still dealing with a little hunger another week of liquids. Im trying to get in lots of fluids though at times its a bit hard. He told me my first fill will be on March 13th nervous and excited at the same time. I am curious to see how I feel and what I am able to eat after I am finished with my liquids. My doctor said I can go to eating fool just to chew it very well. It seems so long

Still Not Feeling Like Myself

Hi everyone had my surgery on Saturday and I'm still experiencing some soreness each day it gets just a little and I do mean a lil better. I'm wondering if anyone can give me some advice. I am having a hard time with the protein shakes.I want to start feeling like myself soon.I see my surgeon next Thursday hoping ht then I am feeling a lot better. Any feedback will be greatly appreciated

My Big Day Finally On Saturday

WELL SATURDAY WILL BE THE START OF A NEW BEGINNING IN MY LIFE. FOR THE PAST FEW DAYS I HAVE HAD SUCH AN UPLIFTING FEELING LOTS OF ENERGY (EVEN GETTING TO WORK IF NOT ON TIME SOMETIMES EARLIER LOL) THIS FEELING IS GREAT. I HAVE LOST 10 LBS FOR FAR. I AM A TYPE 2 DIABETIC AND MY NUMBERS HAVE BEEN GREAT THIS MORNING IT WAS 96. IT PROVES THAT WATCHING AND CUTTING OUT CARBS REALLY HAS AN IMPACT ON SUGAR. Waiting For My Big Day On Saturday

Hello All, Well the time is almost here. On saturday i will have lapband surgery which I have been anxiously awaiting for 6 months. I must say I am happy that I did have to wait it had given me time to research alot about the changes in my life and diet.
