For me things began to improve after 5-6 days, and from there it just got better and better. Take the pain meds, and get a lot of rest.

I had surgery on Tuesday. My doctor is one that believes in getting you back on food as quickly as possible. Yesterday I was able to start on mushies. It was tough trying to get in 60 g of protein and 64 ounces of water. I was not that thrilled with eating, and I still needed 32 g of protein, so I ended up having a shake for dinner and followed that with an Isopure drink. I also had a shake for breakfast this morning. I didn't have any problems with eating the mushies, just a feeling of being full before I had my 1/2 cup. I'm not looking foward to lunch because I know I'll need to actually eat something and then I'll have to wait an hour to drink something.

I'm also anxious to feel better physically. I just feel kind of drained. I think I'm going to try pushing through the lethargy today and get in more movement. So far all I've done is walk laps inside my house.

It takes a awhile to get back to "normal". Give yourself time to heal. Get lots of rest and fluids. Take it one day at a time. I had to switch protein shakes a few times to find one I could handle. Try different kinds, sometimes you can buy sample packets. They really help to get your protien in and keep you feeling full longer. Good Luck to you!

My soreness lasted 7 days, don't worry you'll be back to normal in no time and you'll start seeing some results aslong as you follow the diet. I don't know what protein shake you having but I recommend Labrada. Good Luck!

This is my 2nd surgery in 3 months. I had a pacemaker repair in November and lap band surgery in January. I must be crazy cause now my body is saying WHAT THE H@#$ WERE YOU THINKING!!! I'm getting older,(46) but the lack of energy is kicking my butt! My lap band surgery was already scheduled when I found out I needed the other surgery and I didn't want to give up my lap band surgery date! WTH I must be clinically insane...at least feeling that way right now! lol Must find energy! So still struggling to get back to me! I think it's going to take rest and figuring out what my body needs as far as protein and nutrition. Good luck!

I got mine on January 20th. It took me about 5 days for the really bad soreness and just a work in progress since. Hang in there...
