Hello fellow bandsters,

My story is like many others. I had a mom that was a great cook and fed her family well. Unfortunately the food we grew up eating I continued when I got older. You know chicken fried steak, potatoes, gravy, biscuits, fried pork chops, pasta, bread the list goes on and on.

I have not been overweight my entire life but have battled with it forever. I have lost so much weight over the years only to gain it back. There is not a diet out there that I have not done. With that being said I chose a long term tool to help me stay in check.

I had my surgery on January 20th of this years. My original goal was 80 lbs. I am 53 and 3 grandchildren and I hit the 70 lb mark and decided this was a good size for me. I can wear size 10 and 12. I am 5' 7" tall and feel awesome.
