Well I have not posted anything on lapbandtalk.com for a few months. I had my surgery done in August and I am loving it. I was at 370 on my surgery date and now I am down to 309. It is great but I keep thinking I should be doing more. I try to work out at least three times a week. But I feel like I am hitting a wall (which I know can happen). I don't think I am getting enough protein in my diet but it is hard to eat when i am not hungry. I asked my DR. about it and said just keep on doing what I
Hello everybody I have not been on the blogs for a few weeks. School has been crazy so I really did not have much time to myself. I hope everybody is doing great. I am down 49lbs since my surgery on 8/17/09. I feel great. I have my two month appointment next week and I would like to reach 50lbs. I don't think I am getting all my protein in everyday but I am not that hungry. My surgeon does not like protein drinks but I am think I may need to add one to my diet. Does anybody know of a good protei
Ok I have lost 35 lbs since my surgery and 80 lb all together which is great. I sometimes stop what ever I am doing and think back to when I had the extra weight on me and I try to remember how I felt doing the same thing back then. It is the small things that get me too like: putting on my shoes before going to workout, just working out(I LOVE TO WORKOUT NOW), and how about taking a shower.I am not always bumping into the wall or wishing we had a bigger shower so I could actually move around du
Well I had my first fill on Monday. I cant say I enjoyed it. I am not a fan of needles and to see the needle that they were going to put into me almost made me sick. Once they had the big needle in my stomach my port kept on move around so the doc. could not get the needle in so the had to stop and take xrays with this needle hanging out of my stomach. I know this is normal but for me WOW. This happen twice and final he was able to hit the port. I am cant believe the difference it made. I LOVE
Well today is my first fill. I am a little nervous, because I do not know what to expect going into it. I have lost 33lbs since 8/17/09. I guess I am doing pretty good. I have really started to enjoy working out. I feel great I guess that is all that counts. I will post another blog after my fill. Wish me good luck.
Well I just got done with my two week appointment. I am now on solid foods, but I am a little nervous to eat solids. I guess since I have been to use to drink liquids and soft foods I am just not sure how my body is going to react when I try to eat solid food. I am down five more lbs. I am also starting to workout with a personal trainer at the gym. I think it will help me alot with my weightloss goal. Well i have to get to class but I hope everybody has a great day and a great week. Keep up th
Hello everybody, it has been like a week since I posted a new blog, so I figured I give a update on my progress. I have lost 21 lbs since I had my surgery on the Th. I feel GREAT this is the best thing I have ever done for myself. I could not do what I am doing without my great support. I just want to say thank to my fiancée, her son, my mom(she has done so much for me), and my father. Also I thought it would be really hard to keep on track now that my new classes started but it is not to bad. I
I was wondering if anybody had a hard time drink the protein shakes after the surgery. I was told to drink three shakes a day but I can only get about one shake down a day. I am not hungry so it is not a big deal to me but I was just wondering if anybody else had this problem. Please let me know if you had this problem. Thank you and have a great day.
Hello everybody well I had my surgery on Monday at 10:30. I am in a little pain but nothing to bad. My surgery went good but I had a problem with my breathing and my oxygen level after the surgery. So I had to stay in the CCU department but everything is just fine now. I am trying to move around as much as possible I took a walk outside when I got home yesterday. I have not been hungry yet since the surgery but I have been trying to drink one protein shake since yesterday it is almost done with
As I am sitting in front of my laptop, I cant ignore the sounds coming from my stomach. I am on the two week pre-op diet and MAN my stomach is letting me know that I am not getting enough food. I have six more days to go and it seems like the sounds are getting louder and LOUDER. But what can I do about it nothing I guess. I was thinking about recording the sounds and maybe make a hit record out of them. Well I guess this is the price we have to pay to look beautiful and to be health. Well that
