2/16 excuses

Maureen came in @ 9.40 in jeans. said she fell in the ice. RW in @ 10.5 shovelling ice on h/o's driveway for oh. yesterday he came in @ 10.30 had to drive kids to school...school opened 2 hrs late.....wife wouldnt drive them ...she sleeps....came in late for mtg...CA told him no sexual innuendos please.

:clap2: :nervous :clap2: OOOOHHH BABY! WOKE UP W BURN IN THE BUTT, THIGHS & BACK LIKE I HAD A FULL BODY GIRDLE (FROM SUNDAYS WORKOUT) TO-DAY I WEIGH 232LBS ...HAVE TO WATCH THE SALT AT NIGHT... PERIOD OVER... WILL WEIGH MYSELF DAILY AND WALK DAILY...I DONT CARE IF ITS ONLY 20 MINS... MY SCARS ARE SMALLER...THE 2 THAT ARE ALMOST ALIGNED, AND FUNNILY ENOUGH SEEM TO BE MOVING CLOSER. NOW I HAVE A DEFINITE WRINKLE GOING DOWN MY ABS. USED TO BE IT WAS ONE ROUND BLOB. SO I TRIED ON MY GREY LARRY LEVINE ...WAS 2" APART LAST WEEK WHEN I TRIED IT ON, TO-DAY THE TOP BUTTONS CLOSED AND THERE WAS A 2" GAP AT THE BOTTOM ONLY! YEA BABY! GRATITUDE

GRATITUDE Every day is a blessing, and in each moment there are many things that we can be grateful for. The world opens up to us when we live in a space of gratitude. In essence, gratitude has a snowball effect. When we are appreciative and express that gratitude, the universe glows a bit brighter and showers us with even more blessings.   There is always something to be grateful for, even when life seems hard. When times are tough, whether we are having a bad day or stuck in what may feel like an endless rut, it can be difficult to take the time to feel grateful. Yet, that is when gratitude can be most important. If we can look at our lives, during periods of challenge, and find something to be grateful or, then we can transform our realities in an instant. There are blessings to be found everywhere. When we are focusing on what is negative, our abundance can be easy to miss. Instead, choosing to find what already exists in our lives that we can appreciate can change what we see in our world. We start to notice one blessing, and then another.   When we constantly choose to be grateful, we notice that every breath is a miracle and each smile becomes a gift. We begin to understand that difficulties are also invaluable lessons. The sun is always shining for us when we are grateful, even if it is hidden behind clouds on a rainy day. A simple sandwich becomes a feast, and a trinket is transformed into a treasure. Living in a state of gratitude allows us to spread our abundance because that is the energy that we emanate from our beings. Be Willing.   For anything worth having, anything of value, there is a price to pay. If there were no price, there would be no value. The price is not arbitrarily imposed on the thing of value. The price is in fact a big part of what gives it the value.   If diamonds were scattered around on the ground everywhere, they would be worth no more than pieces of gravel. The rarity of diamonds, and the resulting price that must be paid to obtain them, are what make them so valuable.   Trying to obtain something of value without paying the price will only lead to frustration and disappointment. Much of the misery in the world today is the result of such misguided quests.   For anything of value, be willing to pay the price. Be grateful and enthusiastic about paying the price. we've hit a rocky spot... to day @ mtg I silently said"this is your love for me?" I know he felt it. I guess he hates when I do that.he was subdued @ mtg...not himself til I silently said "I love you my darling"...then he spoke about Mugsy in Brooklyn w all the small dogs "How did Mugsy react to the small dogs" I said That hit home ...his whole face lit up...he knew & I knew why I was asking that. then he smiled @ me when he said "I redid my bathroom...I went all out" & smiled adorably @ me meaningfully as if to say "I did it for you for when you are w me" Silently I heard "You are my whole life. My life would be over if I did'nt have you." Later I realized he called me "Mrs A"

2/15 what a fight!

I smiled & silently asked him"Will you be my Valentine?" As I sat there in my red jacket. He smiled shyly I was very insulted when you flung that check @ me on Sat. That's because I tried to tell you the problem for a yr & you wouldn't listen...it was the only way I could get your attention. You have all watched me change over the past year...what you guys did not know was how the band tightens when you get stressed & I would be in the bathroom puking my brains out. His face showed his shock you have a very high level of awareness.... & you use it... you have low patience w people...you lose patience you can cut people with what you say (Arlene @mtg re Kathy Bryant) "what are you going to go work for another c21?" "NO!!!! why would I be talking to you then?....I won't leave you, I'll just go back into sales I have no problem giving you the extra 5% because I appreciate you.

OH POST 2/11

I haven't looked into the mirror for years until recently. I'm down to 132 lbs. and have started looking -- wow, what a difference! I have had blinders on for the past 30 years with myself and everone else. I do notice that I am shyer than I thought I was and am getting a lot of attention that I feel ambivalent about. I sort of still think, "Why didn't these people talk to me before?" I see how other people look, as well as myself. It is still difficult for me to look in the mirror but it's getting easier. One thing that I do notice is how many unhealthy looking people are out there in the world and how very lucky I am to have had this change of lifestyle. This new life is a challenging one -- lots more to do, but lots more energy to do it with. I have gone back to work and exercise every day. I also have a good appetite (can eat anything except chicken) so I have to work out a lot, but I still only eat a small portion (I graze a lot at night but on good foods). I have also taken up knitting. I am a much happier person now and the depression and anxiety I felt before has gone away (hopefully never to return). Keep up the good work -- we'll get used to everything.   I do look in the mirror more now than I ever have in my life. I think because they kept telling me how my tummy would be kissing my knees. Well that didn't happen. It is hard but I think because I have rode this roller coaster so much I keep waiting for the fall. Like I have done so many times I can't even count them. I have to now make my self stop eating because I catch my self I can take another bite. I asked why are you trying to stretch your pouch???? I need to go back to fixing smaller plates if I want to stay this way. I look in the mirror and I don't see me

I can feel my hip bones on my sides! It's great to catch myself in the mirror and see a thinner me constantly & know that I'm finally liberated from morbid obesity...what a lovely feeling it is to be able to give away my size 16 clothes & to now put on bras that once did'nt fit...now they are loose. It's great to have the problem of what great outfit am I going to wear to-day! The band works if you work w it! And if you don't you will see your reflection in the toilet bowl! now that's a given!

WLS changes people...seriously, folks, that change can be a very positive one if we dare to believe in ourselves. I never knew I had the guts to move forward, on to bigger things, inside me. HOLY COW! My Mom is right, "Things will be different in a year from now." A year may sound like a long time, but I am 7 months into my rebirth thru WLS, and it just keeps getting BETTER every day.   Reach for your goals...take the steps to make them a reality and you will be amazed at what you can do. I am embarking on a new twist in my journey, one that puts me directly in the center. The old me would have wanted to disappear into the woodwork, hide from the attention. I am going to be honest, I am SCARED to death, but I am not going to let MY FEAR get the best of me this time. Linda P
