Betrayal is a BITCH

OK...here goes nothing. I haven't posted in quite a while because I have been dealing with some real shit at home. A month ago I found out that my husband of almost 10 years has been having an affair for the last year and a half. :mad:That's right...while I was losing weight and looking great, that pig went out seeking an affair and here I was scared of how I would act after I started to get attention from others when I started to look nice. I am hurt:crying:, angry:mad2:, sad , devastated:cursing:, sick and every other emotion (other than happy). I'm now on Xanax for my anxiety and I am completely obsessed with this crap. How can someone go out seeking an affair when they have a wife and two beautiful children? Do people care anymore? Do vows mean anything? What the hell is wrong with people? Of course now all of a sudden he wants the marriage to work. Well damn...you should have thought about that before porking the skank!!!! I want to freaken scream. I want to hurt them both. How the hell do people get on after things like this happen to them? Is it possible? We are in counseling, but should I even bother? Will he do it again? What about my kids? Damn...I need some serious help. This really sucks. I'm tired of crying. I'm tired of the chest pains and the anxiety. I want a fairy tale ended but unfortunately my marriage will NEVER be the same. I can never look at him the same way again. Do I give up and start my life over with my boys? Can someone wake me up from this horribe nightmare????? Why me? In the last year I have gone from a size 22/24 to a size 10/12 and I have lost 106 pounds. I thought that my husband was proud of me and thought that I was looking good...guess not, huh? Joke's on me!!!

Aww, now, Mama - you know we gals with "more to love" got room enough for you too in this cyber-love hug! (in my best Barry White voice)

*ducking and running*

I <HEART> Barry White!!! Omg, that voice... makes me melt.

Best f**k me song: his collabo with Quincy Jones - Secret Garden...look that one up if you don't own it already. Also features El DeBarge and a couple of others, I think...

Hey Tina - you find a guy with a Barry White voice - or one that makes you feel like THAT guy's voice makes us feel - he may just be a keeper!

OK, I'll share. We can have a 3 way lovefest with Barry's voice in the background setting the tone.

You guys are truly cracking me up. I still have my "stress" headache but I just took something for that. I'm gonna try to have an awesome time tonight (whatever I may end up doing) and then it's off to single motherhood.

I'll have to get a Barry White collection and keep it on hand because I know those young bucks don't know anything about Barry White....lol...

Whatever you do tonight Tina, be careful. Your experience of last week is still in my mind (okay, call me paranoid). But getting out is absolutely the best decision...

As for the Barry White collection - a fantastic idea!

Just be careful, hon. That last outing sounded a little... weird. Like something happened to you.

Thanks everyone for your thoughts. I am starting to freak a bit but I think it's because I'm worried about him. He's a guy so guy's usually don't talk to one another about these types of things...he is in need of a good friend right now who he can talk to. I don't want him to hurt and I know that he is. I'm going to take the boys and go visit my brother this weekend while he moves out. I don't think it's a good idea for us to be there. It will be too difficult for everyone. I just have to stay strong.

I'm really worried about my surgery coming up. I won't have anyone there with me 24/7. I will be in a lot of pain and needs lots of help. My parents are right next door and I know they will help but what if I need something or someone in the middle of the night?

I need to stop stressing and just stay strong and continue on with what I'm doing. Everything will work its way out, right?

I think that you will be surprised at how much you will come to enjoy living alone. I split up with my first husband when I was in my 20s. He was cheating on me and he was a chronic cheat. I became very close with his long term girlfriend and he cheated on her, too. He actually came on to me while he was with her!

My life sure was more interesting after he left. I have no regrets. I was able to meet and date some really great guys and do a lot of travelling, something that we would not have been able to afford to do had I stayed with him.

It seems to me that the advice and the friendship that you are getting from your friends on this site are rock solid. Good luck in your brand new life.

Well, here I am...my first Monday morning as a single mom. I'm doing alright...he's not doing so well. I am worried about him but I think he'll get through it. The kids are doing well. I did go out Friday night and I had a very good time. I didn't go overboard and I remember everything:) The incident a couple of weeks ago really scared me so I was extremely careful, plus I didn't have my brother with me to watch out for me. The kids and I went to my brothers on Saturday morning and hung out with him and my sister-in-law while he moved out. The kids were so very well behaved it was kind of strange. Yesterday I dropped the kids off at his place for a couple of hours. He took them to the park and shopping. Things seem to be going alright...he came to the house this morning so I could keep my same work schedule and he took them to daycare for me. So...we are getting along very well and I'm doing well. For now...things are good...thanks for all the thoughts and prayers. You guys rock!!!!!

I am SO glad you posted; we were certainly all wondering how this weekend would go. It is good that you and he are managing to maintain some level of civility and stability for the children...that says a lot about both of you!

Keep strong; don't look back, and keep going!
