DaisyChainOz 401 Posted January 4 Ok, so my pre Op plan allows for free grazing on low carb veggies, salad items etc, and one serve of healthy fat per day. So rather than munch on celery orcarrot sticks (which I do also love) I thought why not make them into a faux wrap with Lettuce and avo. I only ate one with broth for lunch, but wow it was great! Anyone else getting a bit creative with their diet? 2 ShoppGirl and Arabesque reacted to this

Spinoza 1,451 Posted January 4 Those look so good! And exactly what you are likely to end up eating in the long term so perfect preparation. My pre-op diet was 3 shakes a day for two weeks, no room for such creativity. Your surgery must be soon OP - best of luck with it. 2 DaisyChainOz and ShoppGirl reacted to this

DaisyChainOz 401 Posted January 6 (edited) So a quick lean curry tonight veggies, chicken and konjac 'rice' - used my healthy fats ration to add a tablespoon (for 3 portions) of almond butter to thicken and make it creamy. It's not bad! Edited January 6 by DaisyChainOz spelling! 4 Arabesque, Mspretty86, ShoppGirl and 1 other reacted to this

I think it was just lettuce, pickles and plain yogurt. 😆 Edited January 10 by ShoppGirl 1 DaisyChainOz reacted to this
ShoppGirl 4,975 Posted January 10 You are doing pretty amazing with coming up with healthy versions of normal food. You will be ahead of the game when you get back to your normal foods.

This is how I will eat going forward, maybe not as big a portion, but right now getting about 8-900 cals per day, figure that will be good for weight loss going forward. Your Pickle salad sounds interesting 😁 Funny how we obsess about one thing!! 1 ShoppGirl reacted to this

Your Pickle salad sounds interesting 😁 Funny how we obsess about one thing!! Yea the lettuce and pickles were free foods on my preop diet and was allowed a zero sugar yogurt as a snack so instead of eating it all at once I used it as a “salad dressing” and ate it with my free food just to be able to chew on something when my brain was telling me I was hungry. Sounds pretty gross now but it worked. 🤷♀️ 1 DaisyChainOz reacted to this
