This flu has GOT TO GO!!!

Man, I haven't been able to do any kind of working out for the last 5 days because my whole house is SICK. We're all covid negative, but we have a nasty flu and stomach bug and OMG I'm over it. Been resting a lot, taking echinacea, extra vit C, Protein Shakes with extra Protein and greens (stomach bug keeping me from eating too many foods), lots of tea (green tea, white tea, oolong tea), and OTC cough and congestion meds. UGH. Not even remotely feeling Christmasy, just wanna get better. Praying this doesn't turn into pneumonia again (I've had it 5x, and I have lung damage because of it).

Ugh I hope you guys feel getter! It seems it's hitting everyone

I got sick too! Mine was Covid. My symptoms weren't too bad but I've been stalled ever since 🤦🏻‍♀️ it's really annoying!

Sounds awful. I really do hope you don't get pneumonia - hopefully the fact you have lost so much weight this year might make the chances of that less likely?

Anyway - wishing you a full and speedy recovery. Nobody wants to be sick for the holidays. 🎄

Oh I feel for you, flu and sickness too must be awful. I dread getting coughs and colds because of the pneumonia too. You seem to be doing all the right things with plenty of fluids and Vitamins. Keep warm. In the UK we have a cure all that is Whisky, hot Water, lemon and honey. Drink enough of it and you feel better. Albas oil on a handkerchief is great for clearing the head if you sniff it. Rest up.

I'm finally able to keep a little food down and the head cold part is easing up. This chest cold, tho. Lord have mercy. It's just settled right in. I weighed myself today and I lost 5 pounds in 5 days from being so sick. I could only hold down liquids and Protein Shakes. I'm all for losing weight, but not like that. As I slooowly integrate food back in my diet again, I'm sure I'll put those 5 pounds back on. But that's actually ok. I want to lose the right way. I still can't work out, but maybe things will start to turn around before long. I just want to feel better. I really miss working out. But I have an appt on Monday with my doctor. If my coughing and breathing don't get any better by then, I have to go get xrays of my chest and get put on a nebulizer, steroids, and whatever else. Again. So working out is definitely not in the cards for a while. Grrrr.....

      WOW by the Grace of God 17 years ago I went to Mexico and had a lap band put on for weight loss and my waist was 64 inches and That’s more than 5 foot around and 18 stone  my weight was 375 pounds. Today I went shopping for not sweats and I succeeded. I found pants and a shirt at an awesome price at Burlington by the way. But the real story here is, today. My waist is 45 inches and my weight is 260. Both incredible numbers but think about this. My waist is almost 20 inches smaller around Wow that’s a brain wrecker.  Still, I love my band  I even celebrate it’s birthday 10-26-06 FYI-it’s kind of like choking yourself, and never letting go. And trying to eat. lol Life is good
