Hello, I'm new here. I'm scheduled to be sleeved on May 17th and I'm excited, nervous, anxious, well everything under the sun. Any tips to help me finish these few days of this liquid diet. Any surgery twins out there?

You just have to get through it, its tough everyone who has done the pre op will tell you it stinks. The thought of being opened up and the surgeon being unable to continue with the surgery because of a huge liver kept me on track. You have only a few more horrid days and then if you are anything like me you will run to the theatre just so you can finish this torturous diet. { mine was 3 weeks } There will be a thread for May surgeries, you will find a buddy there. Yea unfortunately you just have to tough the pre op diet out. For me (I didn’t have much post op pain) the pre op diet was the worst part of the process. The liquids post op was easier because you aren’t hungry at least.

My surgery is Monday and this pre op diet is killing me. I’ve been doing it since May 1st and i broke down and cried because I’m over broth, soups, protein shakes (i can’t stand the taste)…I’m actually looking forward to the surgery because my practice has you on puréed foods once discharged from the hospital.
