Rough morning

Hi friends,

Looking for some encouragement. It’s my first day home after surgery, I was in quarantine for a few days. I used to always have a routine of eating a big breakfast before I took my son to school and no after surgery I can’t and I’m a little bummed out. I know it’s all going to be worth it, but right now I’m struggling to see it.

Hopefully it gets better

Hang in there, Mark. Sending good wishes your way.

It definitely gets better! Today, I had leftover roast beef for breakfast...not much, but it was yummy! You will get there too.

Hang in there. Everyone on my team has told me that the first few days are the toughest after surgery. Maybe you can try to develop some new routines that will provide some normalcy. It will get better!

It will get easier. I craved food when I was watching tv because I always ate them out of boredom and at first I had to do other things to distract myself but now I can watch tv without too many cravings and when I do have them I walk back and forth from one end of the house to the other for about five minutes and that seems to help for some reason. Whatever your habits are will change to newer, healthier habits and it will be well worth it.
